  1. stuff was never very accurate in any of my guns anyway.
  2. fuckers.
  3. nothin too special, and didn't actually fill any niche I was missing, but every knife collection should have a Japan made cold steel tanto. embrace the '80s.
  4. I could certainly be.wrong, and my only hands on experience is with DPMS pattern uppers, but in all my time on this forum and all the troubleshooting I've seen across various brands I havnt seen anyone mention gas tube height being an issue. I know larue and RRA do their own thing with rail height, but they are still able to use standard gas blocks and tubes so id assume the hole in the upper is in the same spot. can any of you gurus confirm this?
  5. I've watched it so many times I don't even need subtitles lol.
  6. seriously...that's awesome.
  7. one would think. I've never heard of the gas tube hole being in a different spot for any of these guns. only reason for a "slot" (assuming he means horizontal?) would be to give you a little wiggle room to line the rails up.
  8. hmmm. no IP man in the fight scene list. I call shenanigans. way better than that goofy flying through the trees crap.
  9. have you seriously not seen apocalypse now? greatest war movie ever made? if not, drop whatever you are doing and go buy it. preferably the redux version witch includes deleted/remade scenes.
  10. that's the same exact scene that popped into my head lol.

we use M&P .40s at work and I like it. mag safety is dumb. takedown is like an old ruger where you have to reach in and flip a little lever down to get the slide off. comes with a little tool stuck in the grip that is a pain to remove. also dumb. both of those dumbnesses are correctable.
  14. I've been scanning that site you bought yours from beach....damn you. damn you. as much as I like the traditionals, they have some seriously cool modern interpretations in there.
  15. damn that's huge
  16. stickied in clubhouse.
  17. on my 5.56 pistol, I'm running a krink brake that cost me $26 shipped from amazon. my buddy has a piggy on his pistol. both are 7.5, both running standard carbine buffers and braces. both brakes look similar externally and internally. we fired them back to back and didn't notice any difference between them from the shooter or the bystander perspective. might be worth it to find a cheapo 7.62 brake to experiment with before you pony up
  18. in a 5.56 gun with standard supersonic ammo...does a can quiet it down enough to shoot comfortably without ear protection?
  19. those things are so damn cool. parked next to a few of them, but never got to see one light off in person. nothing like vaporizing a grid square from a few miles away. one of our training scenarios was defending the MLRS and M109 battery with our tank platoon. tons of fun racing back and forth chasing bad guys that the scouts would call in.
  20. in related news...trial starts this week. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/02/10/jury-seated-for-trial-american-sniper-chris-kyle-alleged-killer/
  21. my camping trip in a box...courtesy of www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com. never even heard of these guys until this past black Friday sale when they had a coupon for 45% off your entire cart. since then I've bought a pile of stuff from them. they have decent prices, good shipping, and tons of coupons. I really dislike ACU as a duty camo, but it looks just fine for playing in the mountains. the molle 2 ruck, complete with sustainment pouches cost me $45 shipped. used but good shape. one buckle is cracked, and the shoulder straps are frayed in one spot. the belt pack was $6 extra. the LBT holster was $12 new in bag. can use it on your belt, molle, or as a dropleg. its full ambi and adjustable for fit. like a glove on my Walther and my M&P. the real ganga of the bunch is the brand new with tags MSS sleeping bag I got for $113 shipped. stupid good deal there. fits right in its own special compartment in the bottom of the ruck. certainly not an awesome high tech camp master setup, but its solid stuff and plenty good for me. not bad for well under $200 out the door
  22. its on my list now...I do like to support AZ companies, and new designs. the bomb proof reliability of geissele and the amount of time Timney has been around make them hard to pass up though.
  23. my 4yr old knows its a magazine, but she always points out its "not the kind you read". proud papa lol.
  24. nice link! I'm not going to get anything done for the rest of the day now.
  25. on my father in laws colt, the paint is flaked off a little at the bolt release, and its rubbed down pretty thin around the selector and on the lower around the.trigger. everywhere else still looks good. I painted that gun about 5 years ago. best part is you can touch it up in 30 seconds if you want.
