  1. yea...I want a 590 to attach to my bayonet as well.
  2. the poop my dad has lived through astounds me. aside from 2 tours in nam...aside from spending a few years in a certain notorious nor cal federal prison...aside from driving (crashing) race cars his whole life....aside from being a chain smoker and alcoholic...aside from beating cancer at least once that I know about... few years ago he was cleaning the house. his dog tripped him up and he went head first through a fish tank. arteries in his throat were cut, and veins in his arm were severed. he wrapped himself in towels while his girlfriend at the time called 911. he says he remembers the emt saying "oh she!t" when he walked in. he woke in the ambulance as the EMT pronounced him gone. he woke up again in the E room right as the surgeon pronounced him dead. he woke up 2 days later with a slight slur and some ugly scars. when I joke about it, he just says he has too much hate to die lol.
  3. sucky man. :(

    "Fury"

and a supportive government more interested in conquering the world than securing contracts for their financial backers.....
  5. fde is shipping.
  6. I always go for the Dick shot first....;)
  7. AZ. I am not LE.
  8. at my job we use to qual twice a year and always got free practice ammo. our trainer was a gun guy and knew what he was doing. we use to have friendly range sessions on weekends. fwd to now...one qual a year. our "trainer" is at hq 2 hours away and only shows up to count our targets. if we beg and plead we get 100 rds of practice ammo per quarter. I don't even bother since.they have made it a pain n the ass to even sign our pistols out over a weekend. I DO NOT feel safe with most of the guys I work with. as long as expenses stay low the douche behind the desk gets his bonus.
  9. like them or not...magpul is an amazing company. I really only own grips and magazines at this point, but they have been awesome in the past. they sent me a free buttstock PRS screw when I asked if I could buy one. they sent me a free qd cup for a ACS I bought used. they replaced a UBR I bought used that had a little wiggle, and included a big sticker pack and an apology letter thanking me for bringing a potential issue to their attention. not to mention flooding the market with 30 rd mags in ban states, and left home at great expense just on principal when CO violated its citizens. really like those guys.
  10. what I'm saying is...different shot placement aside....the exact same conditions recreated...the exact same shooter...the exact same target....the exact same impact point...id expect the same result between quality 45 and quality 9mm ammo. there are always variables outside of caliber that contribute to these shootings. ill continue to carry my little bullets because I know I can recover from the recoil faster than I could with my xd45 or my ported xd40. I can get more bullets out in less time, and in my mind that will make a bigger difference that the energy advantage of the larger round. if I ever make the decision that using my handgun is necessary, I plan on squeezing until that target stops moving. and probably a few after to be sure.
  11. I think if you took 100 different shoot scenarios and reenacted them EXACTLY with 45 and then with 9mm, you would get the same results with either round.
  12. unfortunately that rifle has the goofy extra high rail one it and there's not much you can do. its primarily designed for a scope with a large objective. most guys here with that setup end up building a new upper with a standard height rail. the handguard you posted is the only one that fits. with that said, if its your only option, I've seen that setup made to look pretty decent, but its very heavy. there have been a few discussions on it in here with pictures. maybe dig back through the DPMS forum. edit...apparently I didn't scroll up and notice this is an old thread.
  13. I have a similar issue. while I have a.14.5 barrel, I'm using an Adams arms "manimal" flash hider. looks like a skinny A2 with a .75 od so I can still swap barrel nuts/gas blocks on my pinned barrel. my bayo fits, but wiggles because the ring is too large for the FH. I ended up making a sort of split ring collar. it slides over the FH and then you squeeze it while you slide the bayonet on. sounds complicated but its not. was really just a quick solution I came up with when I first bought the ZT.
  14. might be awkward on a bipod....certainly uncomfortable shooting standing up.
  15. here's a solution I hadn't seen http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00HKMIUMQ?pc_redir=1414290597&robot_redir=1 here's the normal style. there's other similar designs. http://www.triple-r-products.com/ they even make barrel band style lugs in case you don't have a BAYO lug at all.
  16. rocky start, but dealing with good companies pays off. consider a 16" barrel. you won't loose much over 2"

    Football

well..I have no interest in football, but I just took my ID photo so I can work security at the superbowl this year. will probably suck...but will pay for gun parts :)
  18. I think the AR awesomness in here forces everyone to take their game up a notch. its a vicious circle lol.
  19. the UTG "pro" series stuff is made in the US and getting good reviews. not sure who is making it for them. not really my style, since I enjoy spending WAY too much on PRI stuff, but I doubt you will have major issues. not a bad option if you don't feel like spending.
  20. kinda want to run out to Walmart and throw a SOCOM on the credit card just in case.
  21. bayonets are designed for 14.5 with an A2 hider. a 16" barrel will have the ring sitting slightly behind the flash hider. still works, but will have some up and down play. they also make little adaptors to push the bayo forward so it fits a 16" gun properly.
  22. never
  23. needless to say...SBR stamp no longer interests me. ill stay off that particular "door kicker" list a while longer.
  24. those are really nice bayos. I just went with my ZT because I got a good deal. otherwise id be all over these. would grab one anyway if I didn't have so many other things on "the list"
