saw some guy selling 10 beat up colt 20rd mags. was looking for ammo. I offered him a brick of thunderbolt I've had sitting around for years since I don't really shoot .22 he was into it. got the mags home and they are VINTAGE! all have aluminum followers. couple are marked colt AR15 .223.

honestly...get a normal gas block until you have some familiarity with the system. one less thing to troubleshoot. I personally have never had any desire to buy an adjustable gas block. get it running on dummy proof parts, then change stuff one piece at a time.

fixed stock does not fit on carbine extension. you need a rifle extension as well as the 308 rifle buffer and 308 rifle spring. this advice assumes you have a DPMS pattern build.

carbine gas on a 18? that wouldn't even make sense on a 5.56 gun. if you can hold out a little, I'm sure there will be black Friday deals to help you out. you will be mad at yourself if you miss out on a nice Rainier deal.

this thread needs more rice. little shy of 400 at the wheels and pretty light. only took it to the drag strip once and did a 13.1 at 104 spinning tires all the down. she was a monster in the curves. not a single stock suspension arm. electronically adjustable coil overs. 2.0 engine with a GT3071 turbo, custom piping, 740cc injectors and programmed ECU. miss that car, but she was a headache.

we like to poke fun at Canadians, but I've been watching some vids lately of the canuks in A-stan and those boys don't mess around.

will a standard FSB be right for the AR10? doesn't it sit higher over bore axis than a standard AR15? I know the older DPMS standard was and that's why they changed to the new style, so you could use standard Ar15 irons.
