American Spirit Arms out of AZ. Maybe they went under. Doesn't look like their website works. Left side folding handle. Notch machined into BCG. Deletes charging handle completely. Mine is a small frame upper, but I'm pretty sure they offered a big frame version as well.

I have as ASA non reciprocating side charger. Pretty cool design. I really don't like the ones that thread into the carrier. Seems like a hassle waiting to happen. With that said, it still seems like a novelty. In theory there are a few scenarios where it could be beneficial, but unlikely in practice.

Looks fine. First few hundred rounds will smooth out the rough spots that machining missed. Frozen carrier isn't normal, but stuff happens. Wouldn't be concerned unless it happens again.

There aren't enough people left willing to cut the ears off the sheriff's horse. Slavery with access to reality TV and Instagram is preferable to the alternative. At this point we just have to pray for Huxley over Orwell.

It was depressing. The only way a scandal that big could possibly be swept under the rug, is if the ENTIRE game is already fixed at every level. The big Republicans are obviously in on it or they would have crucified Biden. Really shows you we already lost and there is no hope. Trump is definitely going to prison before he dies.

Sci-fi nerd alert. This show is French but most of it is in English and the French parts are subtitles. Pretty good so far. Watched My Son Hunter. kinda funny. Learned a.few things I didn't know...as if there wasn't enough on that dirtbags.

5 of the 10 fastest cars at this year's goodwood festival of speed were electric, including #1 and #2. (Travis pastrana killing multi million dollar supercars in a clapped out 80s Subaru station wagon is priceless) Electric drag cars are starting to get fast as well. Going to be a long time before they are ready for general consumption, but they are cool.

What could happen if you don't run a muzzle device on a build?

The piece of Soviet junk that beat the Germans and won WW2? -
I mean...they spent 4 hours lobbing rounds at a 10' wide piece of steel and couldn't repeat it. Not really sure that's much of an accomplishment. I'm much more impressed watching Matty and Tom and matt cross make repeated hits on a 18" target at 1 mile.

Rarebreed is still fighting the good fight. If anyone needs to scratch that itch in an AR platform rifle, it's a well spent $400. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=llIVHlduUmk I also threw a binary in a 308 just for shites and it ran flawless. A few folks in here can attest to that. Just takes a few tries to get the rhythm down. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_fQswZwTVLg

As far as ARs go, I doubt any manufacturers would make "semi auto only" lowers anymore. Maybe for CA/NY compliant guns, but the rest of them would be select fire ready. If you were building an AR, and the price was the same either way, I'm guessing everyone would build the select fire gun. I agree that classic FA guns would still hold value for collectors, but nobody would be lining up to spend $30K.

Locating proper scope mount has been a pain
blue109 replied to BeeKay's topic in Optics & Mounts, BUIS,Sights
An offset mount shouldn't ever be back so far that you can't fit a BUIS. I think you may be inventing issues. Most people need the offset on this platform to get proper eye relief. The 0 offset mounts will usually only work if you have a continuous top rail. As a general rule, you shouldn't bridge the receiver/handguard with any optic mount (the reason they came up with the offset mounts) -

I'm running 0 offset ADM mounts on 3 different rifles. GGG, Larue, and a few others make 0 offset options in multiple heights as well in that same general price point. There are some high dollar ones as well like the Sphur. The limiting factor here is your budget. Generally speaking, an offset mount is beneficial for this style of rifle, so there are more options. -

Your price point is pretty low for a quality mount. I'd skimp in other places if I was on a tight budget. A mount that flexes or comes loose and shifts turns your rifle into a noisy club. -

DNZ has 1" mounts. I think they are pretty cheap. Can probably find them on Natchez or optics planet. Maybe even Amazon. -
I break in barrels like clutches. Back it out the garage, couple redline launches and she's ready to send it.

They need to get the ball rolling with these psilocybin therapies. They are dipping their toes into it finally, but it will be a game changer.
