  1. Plenty of those jobs used to be worked by Americans...when the dollar was worth something and you could earn a living doing the work.
  2. <laughs> Aahhh...the joys of parenting. Teens.
  3. Three hours?! What the hell took you so long? <laughs>
  4. When it comes to a murder investigation, the cops around here don't give a crap if you're high...just so long as they get some information. They have a priority list, murder tops that list.
  5. Alright...you have to find a way to suscribe the whole forum to her youtube channel.
  6. Flippity flabber pwoninobby hoohah piffahwhacker!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zp_BWAcxnE&feature=player_embedded
  7. The .17 HMR is a badass little round...but the .22LR hasn't been around 125 years for poor performance. It should be noted though that .17 HMR ammo was available all through this last ammo shortage. Robo, dude...you need to build this on the super ultra lightweight chassis!!
  8. /\/\/\ Sheer brilliance there! :hethan: :ifly:

I've always been able to get treatment, then make payments...in my preinsured days.
  10. I need this in my man-cave!
  11. Forgot something too. Unlike pistols and rifles, you don't focus on the bead (like we do on the front sight) but instead focus on the target. My shotgunning sucked big butt until I got that down.
  12. One of these: http://www.srmarms.com "Not intended for skeet but it works real well for social work." http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx?Keywords=srm+1216
  13. Thank God! Now that is out of the way bro, pay attention to your body...any continuing aches, soreness, or pain, and you need to get blood tests done. NOW! My wonderful Mother in law got a pig valve. Months later she was vacuuming or shampooing the carpet and thought she pulled a muscle in her back. They spent months treating her for a pulled muscle and it gradually got worse. Five or six months later, a doctor finally did blood work and she came back positive for strep (just like strep throat), which she'd picked up during the valve replacement. By the time they ran the blood test, the bacteria had ravaged the heart valve and most of her remaining heart. Don't take it lightly...we like you around here!

Well our insurance has gone up 100% in the past 9 months. If we got ours on the exchange it would be cheaper... with an annual copay of $12,500 or so per person. "They" are counting on an outcry, so they can institute single-payer nationalized health care...which is what they wanted in the first place.
  15. Not a clue. But in a related note, I found my stash of M118!! Yeah baby!
  16. I was thinking about this last night, reminded me of a couple of retail customers. This pair of young and dirt poor brothers used to come in, shopping for guns and ammo. They lived way out in the desert and hunted for food out of necessity. They first bought some sort of inexpensive .22 rifle, then moved up to a NEF single-shot centerfire rifle. When they were ready for duck hunting they bought a single-shot NEF shotgun, because they were so impressed with the rifle. Also used to get the people who didn't really have money for a new gun come look at "duck guns", because that's what their friend/brother/uncle told them they "need" to hunt duck. Most times they already had a Mossy 500 or Remmy 870 that only needed another choke tube. Same with turkey hunters. I always used to ask "What did your grandfather use to hunt them?" But if you got the cash, get it!!
  17. RRA has that wonderful ambidextrous mag release. That is proprietary. Like the bolt carrier and bolt. And charging handle.
  18. I want a 24" choked and UNported smoothbore for my Mossberg 930 SPX. I'm willing to do an even swap for my barrel, the Picatinny rail, and rear ghostring sight. If you're willing, we both handle our own shipping.
  19. Mennonites...kinda like nonextreme Amish, embracing reasonable stuff like powered vehicles and guns.
  20. Being a stainless whore that looks GREAT!!
  21. Another welcome from AZ Trutracer!
  22. Welcome from AZ gdcpony! Good looking family...looks like you're bringing them up right!
  23. This is badass!
  24. You don't need a Marlin Goose Gun, with a 36" barrel. Most waterfowlers like a 28"-30" barrel. It seems to help with swinging through the target. Shoulder/cheek/length-of-pull are most important, followed by action type. When you bring the shotgun up to your shoulder, you should be able to have your cheek directly against the comb of the stock with no scrunching down or hunching your shoulder, with your eye aligned with the bead on the end of the barrel. The entire bead should be visible without seeing the top of the barrel or rib. You want the trigger far enough out to pull it without your arm being nearly folded. Action is entirely up to you. Over/unders and side-by-sides have been popular for a couple of hundred years for a reason. Pumps are reliable but lots of people get "duck fever" and have pumping problems. Some semi-autos have "extreme environment" issues. Here's a low-end semi-auto, the Tri Star Viper...pretty darned impressive test! http://www.gunblast.com/TriStar.htm And the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVInopUELnU I have a Tri Star Viper that I bought because it was NIB for $250...about $150 off retail around here. When you pull the trigger it goes BLAM every time. Uses Beretta/Benelli chokes, which are all over now. Five round magazine, plugged to three for migratory game bird compliance.
  25. On the .45s, the XDMs have a recontoured grip with replaceable backstraps. The original XD45 is just a pinch too big for me. If you want a full metal high(er) capacity .45, see if the Megastar is on Cali's list. I've used Gunbroker lots, maybe 75% of my current inventory is from Gunbroker. Only two negative experiences. One, a pistol where the mag would stick after firing and the guy shipped another mag...which wouldn't take full capacity. The other one, I paid for 1,000 rounds of 7.62x51 brass and dude shipped me 5.56x45. Said he was shipping out the return label that day, I got busy, it never came and the jackwad is no longer on Gunbroker. Check the sellers feedback. If they have crap negative feedback, don't buy from them.
