  1. I'd still like to see you get the carbine mate to that pistol.
  2. So I've heard. My Oakley purchases always disappear.
  3. Very good looking build!
  4. LOL Four miles in reality. The virtual portion of the hike will take you over the Himalayas and acosted by a yeti.
  5. Wow. He lived long enough to see a communist in the White House reestablish relations and remove the economic sanctions against Cooba. https://www.yahoo.com/news/cubas-fidel-castro-defied-us-054955306.html
  6. Dang JJ, 820 lumens in a crawl space?! Aren't you worried about starting someone's house on fire?
  7. A couple of years back, we trained a class of Boy Scout leaders to be NRA RSOs. While waiting for someone with keys, one of the leaders motioned to my colleague and said "I just love Bill! He's a walking advertisement for all the latest hiking gear." Sure enough. Long story short (too late!), the amount of lightweight stuff they have for civvies now is mind boggling! Spend enough money on a lack of weight and you certainly will not be wanting for any accessory/tool. By 2116, when our military has gone to the current lightweight stuff, civilians will be able to have a 30# pack with a portable house, sauna, flushing toilet, and wood grill.
  8. That barrel whip sure isn't exclusive to the M4-types. Look up "slow motion rifle" on youtube. Every type, every caliber, free floated, bedded, you name it.
  9. You should be good with a 1-6x out to 600. I like the lower power scopes.
  10. I use Ammunition To Go. They have good deals sometimes. I use AMMOMAN more. Prices include shipping to the lower 48, so while they may look higher initially, the grab-your-ankles shipping charges some people have put them well over AMMOMAN.
  11. Brute strength is one option. Carefully filing away at the staking deformations is another. Very carefully grinding away at the deformations with a Dremel/pencil grinder is another. Are you planning on reusing the shorty receiver extension?
  12. You .410 guys, that brings me to one I have yet to own. I inherited my Grandfather's Western Field .410 bolt-action shotgun. It is in poor condition but has gotten more garden pests by itself than all my projectile slingers combined (guns, bows, slingshots, air rifles). That Western Field has me shopping bolt-action shotguns in 20 gauge. Rsquared, I have a PT92 with a MILO insert we are using with the MILO-Range trainer. It serves well as a revolver substitute, having that double-action trigger. I'm on the third damn trigger return spring, stock configuration. Going to try out one of the $30 Wolff springs next. I would like to see this someday!
  13. Badass brother!
  14. We all have them. That one gun that we keep getting drawn to, which isn't the best or most accurate or most reliable. It's kinda quirky, others love or hate it. Maybe you sold it. Then bought another one. Why? There's just something about it. Mine are Mini-14s and GP100s.
  15. When using stripper clips to load a magazine, I use the little stamped guide that clamps on the mag and push with my folded multi-tool. Just as fast as that but a bit more versatile.
  16. I grossly over ate, starting with the 3/5 of a pie before we even went to the inlaws' house.
  17. This will bode well for the civilian populace at large I would think. Sound suppressing an entire Marine battalion! http://www.military.com/daily-news/2016/11/22/corps-put-silencers-whole-infantry-battalion.html Us shooters should also point out as often as possible that sound suppressors are mandated in many countries, for safety reasons.
  18. Hahaha! Another reason to be thankful on this date, this day in 1871 the National Rifle Association was incorporated so as to impart marksmanship skills to the civilian population. Not as a lobby group, not as a civil rights group. To teach rifle marksmanship. <<<<<<<<<<<<<period So myself and the sparrowhund celebrated by going to the range!
  19. Welcome from AZ! We hope to learn more about your proprietary M&P10 too.
  20. Great job Pete!
  21. Paper towel tubes work GREAT for that alignment. It then allows you to move the gas properly and swiftly, to the nose of an unsuspecting friend or sibling. Wait, what were we talking about?
  22. I think it is mostly a bad idea. These are the people who have historically projected bad thoughts and deeds onto gun owners. "What if you get so angry and intolerant you just start shooting stupid people?" Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot: all liberals with weapons looking to disarm others.
  23. Welcome from AZ!
