  1. I was talking about this recently to someone. I was peacetime Navy, launch and recovery on the USS Kennedy. My crew shot down two Lybians two months after I was shipped home. Nobody ever claims to be a cook, or mail clerk, or barber, or boiler tech, or AB-E (catapults and arresting gear). Most of the military is NOT a "glorious" combat position but these dipwads don't realize that. They also don't realize everyone that HAS been in the military can smell their bullpoopy as soon as their mouth opens. Jon
  2. Bummer Weaponizer! Here's to your speedy recovery! Jon
  3. Awesome madhouse! Congrats to you and the wife! Jon
  4. I have seen a couple of sites that offer the S&W branded bayonet for less than $50. The ding-dongs on GB and other sites that are asking $150 and up are on bath salts! Jon
  5. Wecome dezerteryx!! This is THE place to ask questions on anything 308AR! Jon
  6. What? Your 930 giving him just one 15-pellet suppository wouldn't do the trick? <laughs> Jon
  7. Yup bro unforgiven! Every shotgun should have a bayonet and mount! Just for "Just Because" factor...nothing else. Jon
  8. For as long as the 930 has been out, I'm surprised there aren't more aftermarket offerings right now. Must say though...I'm pretty happy with mine as is. Jon
  9. It's all good 392 bro! It just seemed dead end at that point. Jon
  10. I met Greg "Pappy" Boyington at an airshow in 1983, got an autographed copy of his book. WAY cooler than the show made him out to be! Jon
  11. That is one harsh pic! Was originally looking to see if someone had photoshopped Prince onto Robocop...couldn't find one. Almost enough to make a dove cry. <lmao> Jon
  12. Ha! When we were kids, my Dad was a pilot in the AF, helped my brother build one of those wire-controlled planes, a Corsair I believe. Went up to the local elementary school where Dad said "Let me show you how it's done." Nice lift off, good level lap and a half, then he nose-dived it SMACK into the only concrete within the circle, exploding it into a thousand pieces or more. The look of "Hunh," on my Dad's face as he then handed the toggle handle to my now dejected brother, who looked at the now worthless controller with limp wires hanging. Kids seemed to appear out of nowhere and were running pieces of the plane up to my brother. It was one of those little brother "That was AWESOME" moments. Jon
  13. Aawww man...the pic of Prince on his motosickle didn't work! Jon
  14. Well, I was being more of a smartass to 392 but that's good to know, Tom! <laughs> If there is anything anyone at anytime has thought about doing to a 1911 it has been done. Jon
  15. Oh yeah! The ducted fans are cool! Those mini-jets though...would be fun to hide in the grass near their fields and see how they hold up to a mini-gun. Jon
  16. Can they install a ramped barrel? Jon
  17. Not only does he have the blu-ray of Purple Rain, he sings "When Doves Cry" when he is on his patrol bike, riding his beat. <lmao> Jon
  18. He is picking up delegates, and converting delegates like mad! I hope "they" don't shoot Paul, or give him a heart attack, or something else. Would just like to see the bipartisan asswipes that have been driving the country into the ditch get some come-uppance this time around! Jon
  19. I have a friend that flys some big ones, like 10' wingspan. He has a Mustang, and Extra 300, and something else. If you weren't addicted to these 308ARs you could get a jet! <lmao> Jon
  20. <dontknow> I'm not positive but I think the section you are quoting for cartridge length and bullet diameter applies to their recently adopted "Handgun-caliber rifle" ruling. The folks on MarlinOwners were all over that for lever-action rifles. Jon
  21. Exactly! Thanks! Jon
  22. So THAT'S why the fronts sight base is triangular! Now I need an A2 dammit! <laughs> Jon
  23. Welcome 204! Jon
  24. Did they mention if their 7.62 version will be compatible with RRA's LAR-8? Jon
  25. The guy hosting the machinegun shoot tells a story of when he got hired on with the Pima Co. Rangers. This ancient deputy at the time was allowed to carry a single-action revolver, as he was so old that was an authorized side arm when he was hired. On qualification this old man could fire six rounds, unload, and reload that singl-action faster than MOST of the deputies with D/A revolvers and speedloaders. Jon
