  1. My RRA is pretty snug. My buddy has an AR15 that was so tight we thought it was one-piece for about half an hour. Jon
  2. Yessirree! The highly vaunted .270 is based on the .30-06 case, the .260 is in the .308 Win family and a better 308-style AR candidate. Jon
  3. Thanks Matt! It's been five days and my finger tips and wrist is sore, stretching out along those further spaced frets. Jon
  4. Howdy liontribe! Glad you made it here! Jon
  5. First time at bat and you're hitting 1,000! Very good job! Watch out...now everyone is going to want you to paint theirs. <thumbsup> Jon
  6. Welcome Coldfoot! Jon
  7. What?! No 180s? Mine shoots 180gr pills fine. Oh wait...mine are FAL mags. <thumbsup> Jon
  8. Welcome jdub! You should have fun with that ORC. My buddy liked his in .223 so much he bought the .308. Jon
  9. Of course not. But she can get him convicted in the opinion of world court. The sweetness is he will be convicted by the system he wants in place. Jon
  10. I'm amazed at how slender the Germans get those hammer forged barrels on the .223s! You'd think they could do something similar with the thirty cals. Jon
  11. Right on, Mega! And here I thought we were just a bunch of ol' gun farts around here. <laughs> Did the vet asst thing for awhile...don't get the vA and the bouncer job mixed up. Pet owners are a bit sensitive. Jon
  12. Great post, Dustin! I've used quite a few of those, definately shop them when comparing prices. I'm casting my vote for a sticky on this one! Jon
  13. Looks like the Mexican AG wants an explanation from Obama, as to why he was running guns into her country! http://www.examiner.com/law-enforcement-in-national/mexican-attorney-general-obama-more-involved-fast-furious-than-admitted Because you have done this Ms. AG (and because you are a hottie) I will continue in my pledge to live off mexican food whenever possible. Jon
  14. Does A.R.M.S. do a quick release mount anymore? Jon
  15. First time my Papaw said he liked corn pones, I was like "What the heck are those?" When I got home and asked Mom, she made a few of them things I'd been raised on. <lmao> Jon
  16. Nonsense! Bama, get the barrel you want and know it will be heavy. Then, with a Rambo-headband and no shirt, pop in that Survivor cassette tape and crank Eye Of The Tiger while busting out 4-count rifle drills to the beat! Before you know it, you'll be spinning that rifle like a drumstick between your fingers! Jon
  17. Ok...I have this friend, named uuummm, John, er, no...Bob! Alright, so Bob may have an opportunity to try get his hands on a .308 Win military-style semi-auto rifle setup and geared towards longer range shooting, prior to most people being able to lay their hands on one of these rifles. It has most everything a person would want Santa to stuff in their stocking...except glass! Initially Bob was wanting to get a fine and reputable 30mm scope, with a starting magnification of no more than 3.5 and side parallax adjustment. Mounted in one of the super-duper QD style one-piece mounts. The ability to add a sunshade on both ends is a plus, and a fine lighted ranging reticle would be okay too, with a reputation to be able to take the unintentional bash or two and still be on target. Then the voices started... "A rifle like that needs niiiiiiiight viiiiiiiision....niiiiiight viiiiiision." Okay. So there are the questions. What would you choose for optics? What is available to the general public in the night vision genre these days? Jon (asking on behalf of Bob)
  18. Howdy Micro! Got dejavu. I'm real interested in hearing about that scope you chose...was looking closely at that myself. Jon
  19. Howdy bamalink! I think you'll like it around here. Did you bring some some corn pones and redeye gravy? <thumbsup> Jon
  20. Cake-n-pie, bro! <lmao> Jon
  21. Just started with the acoustic bass guitar. Been wanting to do it awhile. Jon
  22. Welcome cynikal! Jon

  24. <munch> Jon
  25. Got the trigger group! Now I'm waiting on a WWG trigger, a couple of spring and firing pin kits, and some of the Parvo Provo Pervo Prtizan 178gr FMJBT ammo! Oh yeah...and two more of those nifty 25-round Ruger made 10/22 mags! Jon
