  1. Rifle flipping you off!!
  2. IMO we need to stop the cabals here at home first.
  3. I do. Regularly. Thus far the chrome-lined barrel is holding up well.
  4. Russia declares "No Fly Zone" over Syria, deploys S-300 SAM launchers: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-syria-russia-exclusive-idUSKCN1271YO
  5. I have a BCM pencil barrel upper 98 recommended and it does get rather hot with prolonged firing. A great handguard makes a LOT of difference! I believe I have the YHM handguard on that one. Or a MWI.
  6. When you ask so nicely it's hard to say no.
  7. Ouch! Robbers best look out for that truck crew. Might get clobbered with a change purse!

  9. That was great! Looks like that bamboo/grass served as a kind of rat trap for bushyboy. Last year for about 8 hours on and off up in Show Low, we watched Sparrowhund team up with a pair of ravens chasing a squirrel. The ravens took the pines and she had from the ground to about head height. They never did catch that jerk squirrel.
  10. That complaint about modern bullets is prevalent on forums pertaining to old timey firearm actions. Time and time again you see people converted to, then preach about the virtues of hard cast "boolits". "Eat up to the hole" with lots of DRT (Dead Right There) testamonies. Few things suck worse than having to trace out a dozen or more bonded bullet fragments and then chuck the damaged meat.
  11. Lon Horiruchi, FBI sniper. Also endorsed HS Precision Stocks. IN THE NECK!!
  12. Maybe nothing. The Stark incident prompted a total redesign of aluminum combat ships, due to the way it burned when hit by that explosive laden zodiac. Not the USS Stark. Duh! The USS Cole bombing incident is what I was thinking about. First photo is the USS Stark, the 2nd and 3rd are the USS Cole.
  13. Would I do that? Leaded hook-n-worm for lunch.
  14. An aluminum hulled boat, designed as a transport. In the Navy while on the USS JFK CV-67, I was amazed at the ship's construction. All that steel looked pretty thin, supports at 3/16" to 1/4"...until I had to drill some of that hardened armor plated crap with an electric hand drill. Then I toured the USS Iowa and thought "Wow, my ship is built like a cardboard box." Then I got a guided tour on a USNS cargo vessel. I thought "This thing is built all kinds of flimsy." Fast forward to a couple of years ago and I went on my first Carnival Cruise. I thought "This thing is made of glued tissue paper and going to rip open!" The USS Stark was a combat frigate, made of aluminum. It isn't the most durable, even when built for combat.

  16. Did...did you...did you a moderator just post a Wikipedia link?!?

  18. Oh. That's why they call it "banging".

OR you could save your money and come up with some sweet sabot rounds in .308 and 6.5mm for your .45-70!
  21. What article?
  22. /\/\/\/\ That's funny. When I worked for Sportsman's Warehouse all distribution was decided at corporate in Utah. The Tucson store was awash in .44 Magnums, .454 Casulls, .338 and .444 stomping rifles. The Alaska store had backstock of 1911s and AR rifles. They didn't want stores to ship to each other because it would adversely affect the delicate balance of book keeping they had. Once they started letting the regional directors order stock sales boomed.
  23. As soon as they find someplace where labor is cheaper than China. Hey! There's a trend of manufacturing moving back to the USA!
