  1. Best be Sunday. Might be out of stock Monday.
  2. He's good to be worried about someone breaking into his apartment. His part of town is much better than others. MUCH better! But scum is mobile.
  3. That would shoot a bit flatter!
  4. Well since the CPR worked on this thread, may as well post an old link I found while sorting bookmarks: http://www.sightm1911.com/lib/tech/toolbox.htm
  5. Obviously you're going to have to neck it up to .35 Whelen. Then, once you have five rounds of empty .35 Whelen brass sitting around, you'll need a rifle in .35 Whelen. Seriously, you gotta plan this stuff out.
  6. If your semi-auto is ejecting empties into the shooters face there's a spring or two that need replacement. Unless they are 200 yards away and the brass is coming from mikedaddy's P-Witness 10mm with his handloads.
  7. Does this count a derailing a thread?
  8. Take her shopping, big store with a big selection. She needs something she finds comfortable that she will shoot. I've had plenty of students blast a snubby revolver (someone told them to buy) that never shoot again. Plenty of new firearms semi-auto pistols are fully ambidextrous. The FNH FNS series pistols come with or without manual safeties, duty size or compact, slide stops on both sides. The Ruger SR series are mostly ambidextrous (safeties and magazine releases), .22LR up to .45acp for whatever floats her boat. The Remington R51 had a rough start in 2014, so they stopped production. Getting very good reports on it now, to include a very easy to operate slide and low perceived recoil. Kahr makes good pistols, only the slide stop and trigger to worry about. Walter's CCP is getting good reports, with the mag release being reversable instead of truly ambi. Again, let her try them out and see what fits her hand at the store. Then, if you have a range with rentals nearby, have her try a few. Few things suck worse than spending hundreds of dollars on something you hate.
  9. True. That's why my XDM is my carry choice, as would be my FNS9, if people made carry gear for it. But those weren't choices for MARSOC.
  10. All fine and well but MARSOC would never be getting properly fit, well-tuned, correctly maintained by their armorer 1911s, with enough spares and spare parts in the world-wide supply line. I've owned and shot plenty of 1911s, owning five in 3 different calibers. Owned one Glock 19 and sold it as soon as I quit corrections. I'll still take the easier manual of arms, higher round count, less parts to break, durable plastic over nostalgia.
  11. At least you have a liason IN TUCSON you can send!! Josh! Josh! Josh! Josh! He can carpool with me over to abduct blue with Matt.
  12. It's made for branch snagging.
  13. In two-tone KAKhi too!
  14. I wouldn't. And I very much dislike Glocks. A "combat ready 1911" that will run like a top will cost $3000 or more. Add dirt and grit and they get worse.
  15. Research the factory pig farms.
  16. While we can now see kids in India and China tearing apart electronics for scrap of metals, we still have yet to get to the HUGE battery replacement for vehicles and houses that is yet to happen. My understanding is that the lithium ion (and other whizbang new batteries) are 100 times more toxic and 1000 times more dangerous when breaking them apart for components. Another thing left to future generations.
  17. Get a Redfield Revolution. Inexpensive, made in the USA, lifetime warranty.
  18. Thanks Wash bro! It's rare for somone to squash a fresh dog turd barefoot, between the toes like that.
  19. Dude over on MarlinOwners couldn't get his son to shoot the .30-30, so when he next went to the range he said "I'm taking the 7.62x51R." Kid gets to the range, "Where's the 7.62?"
  20. Nope. Post '94 rifle, so no threads.

    Go Henry!

I love Henry rifles! Made in the USA, in Brooklyn, NYC, New York! They now have their All Weather series: https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/10/14/tested-henry-all-weather-30-30-rifle/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=insider&utm_campaign=1016 Hard chrome, brushed to a nice satin finish with actual steel iron sights. Good stuff!
  22. Kinda like highschool. One guy says he got screwed by a chick and suddenly she screwed everyone, reputation ruined!
