One of the TCs I worked with this past weekend has worked with two people that had encounters with blind shooters. The first, a firearms instructor wanted to see if they could teach a blind person to shoot. They used a pistol with a laser sight. When the instructor could see the dot on steel he would tell the blind person to squeeze the trigger. Worked well. The other was a member of a national shooting team that went to Australia for a demonstration event against the Aussie disabled shooters blind shooting team. The sight using Americans wore blindfolds, all shooters having a device on their barrel that gave a tone for how far off up/down and a different tone for how far off left/right. In case anyone here has not been paying attention, it's time for you to practice and preach the following: The attacks take place in crowded public areas. Avoid these. The attacks take place by muslims. Avoid these. The attacks take place against the softest targets first: schools, restaurants, cafe's, theaters, sporting venues. Avoid these. The attacks take place against hardened targets second, police stations, check points, inspection stations, headquarters, etc.-- once people are paying attention these become the "relax areas" and soft by default. Avoid these. Rule number 1- always be armed! Rule number 1- all attackers are always armed! Same level of importance on those there.
