IIRC there is a belief that CRD originated from deer going to cattle stock yards and eating the ground up diseased cattle, the same cause for "mad cow" disease. Either way, something isn't right in our food supplies.

No more gas than any of the other 6mm cartridges pushing bullets and powder down a little hole. For longevity on barrels I'd be more inclined to listen to someone collecting 4 MOA battle rifles, than someone using a 20lb rifle to shoot 1-hole five shot groups that are 0.015" larger than the bullet diameter. But that is probably just me. -

So just to get this straight, the second ejector in the bolt of a 308AR is something like a full-length guide rod in a 1911? Works but wasn't necessary to begin with?

Looks good to me Pappy! WIsh I had the change for that High Standard. Glad to see your support of the NSSF! They sponsor several local scholastic shooting teams here, shotgun and pistol, with rifle to be added in the next few months. Junior high up through college in each discipline.
