  1. From what I've seen here the builds that stuck with all PSA parts were relatively trouble free. I say relatively because a build with any manufacturer's parts can have a snag, especially with the 308 platform. As others have posted, stick with the same manufacturer for the basic parts of your build and you should be good to go. If you have any problems there are always guys here that can help you sort them out.
  2. Never been to Connecticut, not planning on ever going either!
  3. Pics are up in the original post.
  4. My wife said she will make a batch of burrito meat (with green chili of course) that we can make burritos with while we're there but I'm sure someone with some southwest culinary skills can make use of some of the green chili while we are there. Tom? Jon?
  5. I'll be there! Are we dry camping like you guys did last time? If so I'll bring my RV as long as the site is accessible with a 20 foot toy hauler. Got a couple of extra beds if someone needs a place to sleep. I'm no cook but I'll bring some of the local green chili if one of you want to whip something up with it. It's already roasted and frozen.
  6. Make sure you send me your address and a phone #.
  7. Okay guys, it's that time of the year again and we will be raffling off a Radical Arms AR-15 .223 carbine. The gun will be in a Plano Gunguard hardcase and wears a Beachin Tactical 'Thin Blue Line' sling which was donated for the cause by our very own Jacob Beach. THANK YOU JACOB! As with the last year's raffle, every dime raised on this raffle will go to the families of officers killed or severely injured in the line of duty Just like last year, there are only 500 tickets being sold and they are $5 a ticket. The drawing will take place at our 5th annual Fallen Officer Run on May 13th at the end of the run and you do not need to be present to win. Also like last year, if someone from the forum wins I will personally pay to ship the gun to the FFL of your choice. If you want to purchase tickets you can PM me and either send me a check or do Paypal. I'll also need your address to send your tickets to you and a phone number to call if you win. I will get some pictures up in the next day or so. Thank you in advance for your support, we couldn't do what we do without the support of people like you!
  8. All you married bikers out there. Thought this was great!!! LOL Jim decided to tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend. One evening, after the honeymoon, he was cleaning his motorcycle. His wife was standing there watching him. After a long period of silence, she finally speaks, "Honey, I've been thinking, now that we are married I think it's time you quit riding your bike. Maybe you should sell your motorcycle." Jim gets this horrified look on his face. She says, "Darling, what's wrong?" ”There for a minute you were sounding like my ex-wife.” "Ex-wife!" she screams, "I didn't know you were married before!" "I wasn’t!"
  9. Love it! I wondered when the last installment was coming!
  10. Glad to hear you're still accepting donations. I'm kind of late to the game but heading to PP right now.
  11. Aaahh, I don't know WTF was going on. I hit post 4 times and nothing happened! I then refresh the thread and find out my schit posted 4 times! I deleted the content on three posts because folks don't need to have to read my drivel 4 times in a row. Had to put a period in there because the board won't let you do an edit with no content.
  12. .
  13. Probably not, I drive pretty much wherever I go. Just did a 3K roadtrip to Miami for Christmas. That's why I have a Ram truck and the wife has a Dodge Journey!
  14. That explains it, the Canadians put some weird twists on the models being sold in the states!
  15. Okay guys, better jump on these quick, they won't last long! Lake City pulldown bullets at Midway, $69.99 for 1000 .223 55 grn. FMJBT and $69.99 for 500 .308 XM80 149 grn. FMJBT; http://www.midwayusa.com/s?promotionid=1113587&cm_mmc=pe_weekly-_-hotbuy-_-lake_city-_-20170216
  16. That thing must have been a custom! I've never heard of a 3/4 ton F100! I've had Chevys, Fords and Dodge's (even worked at Chevy dealerships for 5 years back when we were called mechanics, NOT that pussyassed B.S. service tech schit) and I'll take my Ram over a Ford or Chevy any day. It's all pretty much personal opinions though, with all the technical crap on them nowadays it's almost impossible to work on any of them yourself and they all have their faults. I honestly don't think one brand is a fart in the wind better than the other. I'm with Ron on the Toyota thing, I WON'T own one, even if the thing is made here in the U.S.
  17. I just bought a 2016 Ram 2500 4X4 turbo diesel crew cab that was a year old for $40,000. They gave me $14,000 trade in on the 2012 1500. I bought my wife a new 2014 Dodge Journey and it and my Harley are the only brand new vehicles I've ever bought! I have always gone with the 1 year old vehicles, I hate paying for the depreciation of a new vehicle. I read an article the other day that said on the average, a new vehicle depreciates 28% on the drive from the dealership to your driveway!
  18. Damn those Tundras are expensive! I bought my 2012 Ram 1500 back in 2013 for $21,000!
  19. Sorry for your loss brother! Even at 90 years old you still feel like you needed more time, it is never easy. I lost my mother to COPD at the age of 68 and lost my dad at the age of 42 due to an accident.I still feel the loss of both of them. I try to do what I can to be around as long as I can for my kids.
  20. Not trying to be racist or anything but Mexican Nationals are even worse. I had several big juniper trees between my sidewalk and curb and I'm about three blocks from a convenience store. Those chili pickin motherfcukers would stick soda and beer cans in those trees every day while walking by. I finally cut every one of them down to stop that crap! The local P.D. range used to be open to the public but the city finally got fed up with the trash problem and put a 6' chainlink fence around the whole damn range and locked it up. I started my kids young, when we would go camping I would have them police the area when we packed up to leave and pick up ALL the trash. The first time one of them said something about picking up trash that wasn't ours I had a talk with all of them and explained that when we used an area we ALWAYS would leave it cleaner than we found it or we would just quit going camping! Never heard another complaint.
  21. Yup! My house gun is a 300 BLK 8.5" SBR with a 6" suppressor loaded with 220 grn. subsonics. Don't want to loose any more of my hearing over some dumbass that chose the wrong house!
  22. You off your meds or what Mike? I'm only 3&1/2 hours from Albuquerque so I'm sure as hell not flying! If you're referring to Magwa's travel plans he stated he was asking in reference to DRIVING and my response had nothing to do with flying at all! I don't know anything about airline regs, but since a suppressor is NOT a firearm I would think you could just throw it into your checked luggage and not worry about it. If you know something about that that I don't then post it up and quit making vague references. Just sayin'!
  23. Well, my wife just informed me that she has a work seminar in Albuquerque April 7th at the Sandia Resort and Casino and I'm going with her for a weekend getaway so that weekend is out for me! On another note, as to Magwa's question about transporting suppressors. Suppressors are not a firearm and are not subject to any restrictions on interstate transportation. In otherwords, you don't have to file anything with the ATF to transport. You DO need to be aware of any state laws pertaining to suppressors in the states you will travel through. Technically, you should be good to go if you're in transit and just passing through the state but we all know that there are a few uneducated cops out there who like to prove a point! I personally keep a copy of my tax stamp with the suppressor whenever I'm going anywhere with it.
  24. On some of the builds here it has been found that the AR-15 mid-length gas tube doesn't extend quite as far back into the upper receiver as it should. Some have caused issues and some have worked fine that way. The Armalite 308 solves the problem.carbine gas tube
  25. Me too!
