  1. Those bolts had actually had more than 1K rounds through each one of them but how much more I couldn't say.
  2. Mike, that's a pretty impressive kit there. Those baffles are known as 'K' baffles and the general consensus is that they work better for low pressure rounds such as pistol and .22 LR. Cone or 'M' baffles seem to work better for the high pressure of rifle rounds, at least according to those who claim to know more about this stuff than I do. The cone baffles I will be making with the freeze plugs are a variation of the M baffle. Hell, for all I know the people who are saying this stuff are cheap bastards like me and since the M baffles can be made with hand tools they think they are better! <dontknow>
  3. Did it with the trust. I'm going to build a 300 BLK SBR next on the trust. 8" bbl. and a 6" direct thread form 1 can.
  4. There's a 'smith here who makes AR-15 barrels for Brownells that can do it I'm pretty sure. If not I can send it to a guy that's doing them for SD Tactical for $25.
  5. Okay, I did my form 1 a little over 3 weeks ago so if it doesn't get kicked back because I did something the BATF doesn't like (THAT never happens!) on the form, I should have a stamp in a couple of weeks. I ordered some 'solvent trap' parts from SD Tactical that came in today. First up is the 7.6" titanium tube, 1.5" O.D. Next are the endcaps, the one on the right is the titanium adapter end to fit SD Tactical's muzzle break and the one on the left is the aluminum outer endcap which is undrilled at this point until I have my stamp in hand. Baffles will be made out of freeze plugs but I won't get those until I have the stamp in hand. I also have to engrave the BATF required info on the tube too. I'll update this with more pics as the build progresses.

  16. Here you go Ed; a·maze (ə-māz′) v. a·mazed, a·maz·ing, a·maz·es v.tr. 1. To affect with great wonder; astonish. See Synonyms at surprise. 2. Obsolete To bewilder; perplex. v.intr. 22. Nice build! Looks like a good candidate for a Form 1 suppressor brother! <thumbsup>
  23. Dillon Aero builds a 7.62 minigun but I don't know if they build a 5.56 version or not.
  24. No glove, no love! <lmao>
  25. Back years ago before General Dynamics bought the rights from G.E. I read an article on the 5.56 miniguns. They were pretty obscure back then and the article claimed that at that time there were actually only two working examples of the guns in existence. I'm guessing that since General Dynamics acquired the rights they've built more of them.
