  1. <laughs> My wife just got some new instructions for my cremation (if I go before her)!
  2. Damn, that guy shoots arrows faster than most people can shoot a pistol accurately!
  3. <thumbsup> <munch>

    reloads

The problem with extended mag releases is that they tend to get pushed unintentionally at inopportune times, turning the gun into a single shot pistol. A good test is to lay the pistol flat on a table and see if the mag release makes any contact with the tabletop. If so, it's a no-go in my book.
  5. This is totally correct. YOU are manufacturing the SBR so your info has to be on the receiver.

    reloads

I've been shooting USPSA for 20 years and I've never had an extended mag release on any of my 1911's. Shifting the gun a little to punch the release has never slowed me down any. In most action pistol games the majority of reloads are done while moving or (in the case of IDPA) behind cover. Dry fire practice will probably benefit your reloads more than dinking with modified mag releases.
  7. That shot in the first picture must have been pretty tough, that looks like a really steep mountainside you were shooting off of! <lmao>
  8. My wife used to also, I don't know why she quit. She was an EMT and now an RN with wound care training and worked for a surgeon for several years. I would rather have her working on me that some docs!
  9. I put a set of these on my AR15 I use for 3 gun matches; http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Optics-45-Degree-Transition-Backup/dp/B006X9DLQM/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1NBHP03H1B3ENWTQR8T4 They seem to be pretty solid but I haven't used them yet. Yeah, I cheaped out on these but If they hold up okay then they will do what I need from them. I might shoot 2 or 3 3 gun matches in a year and I can't see spending a couple of hundred dollars on a set of offset sights for a a few close in shots a year.
  10. No schit! I can just leave that thing on? And yeah, I'm liking that 2 MOA dot!
  11. Ironmonster, think about it. The 308 mag is wider than the 223 mag so yes, the 308 mag catch is different, it has a longer shaft. The 308 bolt catch is different than the AR15 catches too.
  12. I didn't know anything about it. My buddy told me "Google it and call me back!" Needless to say, I called him back! <thumbsup>
  13. Hope you meant .03 brother, .3 is almost 1/3 of an inch! <lmao>
  14. Repent, the end is near! :tweed:
  15. Yeah, I figured that would happen when they put them on sale the other day. It has a 'Backorder Okay' status though. That means you can still order it at the sale price and they will ship it as soon as it's back in stock. It's showing 'overdue' on the back in stock date so they will probably be getting them pretty quick.
  16. I've been called a General Painintheass! <lmao>
  17. Sounds like something I would go for then. <thumbsup> Is that a base coat/clear coat job? Most everything is these days.
  18. See my post in your Hornady thread.
  19. After 20 years my Competition Electronics chrono bit the dust! I think I'm going to try one of these Caldwells out! http://www.midwayusa.com/product/626107/caldwell-ballistic-precision-chronograph?cm_vc=ProductFinding
  20. Bwahaaaahaaaahahaha!
  21. Or an 8 oz. can of green beans!
  22. Nowadays just the cost in materials for a complete paint job can run $1K+. Omni Plus isn't the top of the line but is good paint and should hold up really well for you. If the shop does good work and stands behind their work then $2K is probably a good price.
  23. The only time I've ever paid a range fee was when my son was in college in Albuquerque. I would go up there and take him to shoot the USPSA monthly match and the range charged each shooter a range fee. Here in deming I have access to the PD range (50 & 100 yd. bays) and a private range owned by the LGS owner here (3 30-50 yd pistol bays and a 100 yd rifle bay). I can also go out to the old Natl. Guard range that goes out to 500 yds. It's technically closed but people still go there as it's not fenced or anything.
  24. Just bought one of these from a buddy of mine for $400. It's been mounted on an AR once but never fired! http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Aimpoint-Comp-M4-S-p/aimpoint%20comp%20m4.htm
