  1. Hey now! We were minding our own business even though the misuse of "AR-10" is probably the most prevalent violation discussed, but then we understand why everyone would want to call their rifle an AR-10, everyone want to associate themselves with perfection or what used to be anyway.............
  2. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina!
  3. I've shot a bunch of this stuff, dirty as hell and the occasional failure to go into battery due to case size but the LRN bullet doesn't seem to be the issue. It also builds up lead in the adjustable gas block and is a real pain to clean up as well; http://palmettostatearmory.com/grizzly-cartridge-300-aac-blackout-210gr-hard-cast-lrn-sub-sonic-ammunition-250rds-gc300bl-r5.html Here is a video showing some, I don't seem to be able to find iot on the Grizzly web page anymore;
  4. Tastefully done!
  5. There is something very comforting when an odd noise wakes you up and the first thing you see are those three glowing dots of a MK25 on the night stand.
  6. What adjustments did you make?
  7. I wouldn't sweat the elevation deal yet, I have noticed a change in POI as I go through break in procedures on new barrels. Should settle in by 50 rounds through.
  8. I must be doing something right with my choice of news sources to not have heard that.
  9. but it still has its nuts............ if it were serious it wouldn't.
  10. Rather than cave to the commies in Illinois they should join Les Baer and hop the river to Iowa.
  11. Once you've had good training grabbing a weapon from an aggressor will be an instinct reaction. While playing on the wrong side of the tracks as a youth I had an idiot think he was going to intimidate me with his little 22 pocket revolver. I didn't follow all the rules because he was able to walk away, with a limp. I was even kind enough to hold him down and supply the numbing agent while his wife dug a chunk of lead from the back of his thigh, I wasn't thinking of him just didn't want him to go to a hospital, lucky for me he had shorts in it so damage was minimal. I was taught by my hippie hating Grandfather at a very young age that violence should be met with overwhelming violence, I teach my Grandchildren the same. I firmly believe if you are on the right side the good Lord will look out for you, some see it as fantasy but the confidence this belief gives me has served me well.
  12. To bad they won't let us buy the old ones, thanks Ronnie..................
  13. Just ordered both AR-10 and AR-15 receiver hones from PTG myself. More and more people are asking for help building rifles so what the hell, just as well do everything I can to make them accurate!
  14. No explanation needed, I'll never buy their product again. Same position I took and stuck with when Bill Ruger made his ridiculous statement on magazine capacity.
  15. Take it, fix it, then use it!
  16. Nah, problem comes when the Hellfire is not hanging from the drone anymore!
  17. That seems to be exactly the results I found with 300BO as far as which mags work best, wish I'd have known before I had all the 30 round Gen 2 Pmags cerakoted to match the 300BO, looking forward to seeing your mods, maybe I can salvage them.
  18. ^This! I got by for years without one loading for bolt guns, just got lucky I guess. If I buy remanufactured ammo I run all of it through a case gauge now, you would be surprised how far off some will be. I have gotten by without using small base dies as well, why move more brass unless you have to. I mostly buy Hornady dies with the exception of the Lee factory crimp dies.
  19. I left the strap on my SIG brace but added a MI QD sling attachment to the tube that inadvertently keeps the brace a few inches further away from the receiver. This is where the single point sling works best when using the tension method and not shouldering it, wonder if they would consider that "re manufactured "? The 716 has the Phase5 tube that holds the brace at about the same distance, just right! At least if this stuff starts ending up in litigation I can SBR now.
  20. http://soldiersystems.net/2017/04/25/sb-tactical-announces-reversal-of-atf-open-letter-on-the-use-of-sb-tactical-pistol-stabilizing-braces/ This one has the entire letter. I'm curious how this applies to the KAK Blade and the adjustments for length it has, mine did not come with a strap either, why would lack of the strap make it not usable as a brace? More mumbo jumbo crap. They need to just get back to the constitution and quit infringing period.
  21. Well crap, maybe Mike will have, better luck I found the link on the Sig forum, worked there??????
  22. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina!
  23. Heard this from my LGS owner last month. His atf source said it was irrelevant, there was no chance they were going to bring a case anyway. Makes sense, there is no case to bring. here is a link to the latest beuarcratic bull; https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/content_link/s3XJ2g5b30oTZ5XJntaNCJHVSOoiUMnGyKt2pQmMLbHXXWWtFwNzewitgtLp1wgR/file?dl=1
  24. If this is a new weapon there is a good chance some of the extra brass shavings they produce till smoothed out could be messing with the ejector. Totally disassemble, inspect, and clean.
