  1. Here is a thread with some range results from shooting into water jugs. Glad I bought a big pile of this stuff when I did! Sometime this week home I am going to get some out and try it suppressed in my P716.
  2. Enlighten me guys, why oil my beard? It sounds messy, my beard is down to my chest, wouldn't the oil stain my shirts and bibs on my overalls? I have a beard because I'm too cheap and lazy to shave, how much time and money would I be putting into my beard with these oil products?
  3. In a way Armalite did. They needed to change up a few things, like the follower, to get reliability. They sold conversion kits for those old M-14 mags for a long time when the ban hit.
  4. Storm lake is maybe 60 miles north of me, nephew goes to college there.
  5. What is auto storage run per day in your area? Get some quotes to throw at them. Get them on notice right away so the meter is running. Unless Arizona has some odd ball laws that favor the insurance company you can make as much or more money for storing it than it is worth. It also makes them more amenable to a good settlement knowing the meter is running.
  6. Call his insurance and tell them it is not SAFE to drive, it is at your house and you expect to be paid a reasonable storage fee until they agree on a settlement so you can fix or scrap it. Create documentation that it is stored on your property and get a mechanic to verify it is not safe to drive. It won't get you rich but it does create leverage.
  7. Could be worse, a buddy of mine messed around texting me twenty unrelated questions on his build then when he went to order the MBT it was sold out. I explained 65b to him.........you don't have that problem
  8. Love the looks of this new bolt catch from Geissele; https://geissele.com/maritime-bolt-catch.html
  9. They sold out already. bet there will be a pile of them listed on ebay for $150+ real soon! Happens every $99 sale.

    That is hilarious
  11. That OTMRP sounds just like the bullet in MK319.
  12. This time they are sending a trigger chassis for free and say the triggers will ship immediately. Came to my senses after the first order and went back in to order the whole package even with paying shipping twice it's a steal!
  13. Seems a shame to drive deer when you can use a rifle, be safe! Warne is good stuff, never hear complaints about their stuff unless someone orders the wrong height for their rig.
  14. I'm curious if the original full auto version had the same length gas tube????
  15. Got another Mech Armor charging handle on the way, couple more and I will have everything covered!
  16. Hospitals work this way! I paid in advance for a surgery, they screwed it up, I was responsible to pay extra for that surgery and in whole for a couple more needed because of it. The issue was listed on the release as a "simple complication " so no law suit possible. I see this as a symptom of big government, the more government becomes involved in an industry the higher the chance something like this can occur.
  17. And that begs the question, which rifle length gas tube came first? Is it possible the AR-15 tube was shortened from the original AR-10 and when 308AR's became popular makers just made adjustments for the already in production shorter tubes.
  18. From what I read it was the ability to get accurate measurements on the bullet down range with a new high tech Doppler radar that gave them the insight. Doubt I will ever shoot well enough for the difference in tipped and HP match bullets to really matter for me.
  19. 125 sold and it just went live at noon, betting they sell out fairly quick.
  20. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina!
  21. My understanding of the "melting " issue was that it was only a problem at longer ranges. It wasn't as much a velocity issue as it was a build up of heat from friction that after longer flight time caused a deformation that made the BC numbers inaccurate. I agree the advertisements from Honady are a bit misleading, many of the gun rags have helped mislead people on this as well.
  22. Great example of leadership! Secretary Zinke has a huge job ahead of him if he is going to change the progressive socialist culture that prevails in many of his agencies. Looks like he may be the right man for the job
  23. Nevermind......................
  24. I hate flying, necessary evil for my job though. I'd be curious to know if they tried to buy off any passengers first. Last Christmas I was on an overbooked flight from Pensacola to Dallas and they gave two people $600 vouchers to take a later flight. If it wouldn't have messed up the rest of my schedule I would have jumped on it.
