  1. M14 mag? Armalite used to sell a kit that retrofitted M14 mags to work in the AR-10.
  2. That's the Shiit right there!

That may end up being the solution but lets take a close look first. If something is hanging up like that there should be some marks somewhere, inside the upper, on the lower where the buffer tube threads inside, on the BCG? Take some pics and post up if you see anything.
  4. Been looking hard at that scope for my 338 federal build, what do you think of it?
  5. I call her Bench Pig, she's busting 16 lbs as she sits here. Particulars,
  6. This retainer and the Tubbs carrier weight are solutions, can't find the Tubbs anymore though. https://gallowayprecision.com/offset-buffer-retainer-for-AR-15-rifles
  7. That looks like a pretty good solution. Not knowing a machinist that won't charge me it is cheaper to buy the offset retainer for me.
  8. That looks delicious!
  9. I'll recommend Joe Bobs but they are all on backorder there right now. Brownell's is as reliable as you get, if they are out keep watching, they restock regular.
  10. I can't imagine the transport in a package having more violent movement that what it goes through when firing, highly doubt what you are seeing there happened during shipping. If it shoots shoot it, if it isn't reliable then schit can it and get a Toolcraft, basic and they work. Throw that Lantac up for sale here, I'd risk it for the right price.
  11. Welcome from Iowa!
  12. 8.5 pounds without optics and magazine.
  13. Very nice looking rifle!
  14. Can you see inside the firing pin channel? Could be bad machining in there causing the issue. If you cant see then a thin wire rubbed along the sides might tell you if it is smooth in there.
  15. Does it hang up? If it doesn't then shoot it.
  16. No marks on the lugs, inside the upper, anywhere in the carrier, cam pin?
  17. Thank you, now I don't have to remember to dig mine out and see what they hell they were called This is the one I used. Like I said, never a problem but while trying to swap a handguard on a PSA 300 upper I noticed the beginning of some flex and ordered the reaction rod. Truth be told I never did get that barrel nut off, it ran so I swapped it for parts I needed. I did have to ever so slightly shave the block at the pins for 308 stuff but that gave me a good fit then. https://www.plastixrevolution.net/collections/ar10-upper-receiver-vise-blocks/products/223-ar-15-308-ar-10-upper-receiver-vise-block
  18. Have you looked at the reaction rods? I ran with a vice block for years, never had any issues with it but after falling into a reaction rod I wish I would have started there. https://geissele.com/tools/gunsmithing-tools/reaction-rods.html
  19. Thank you, I was starting to think I didn't understand what I thought I understood Now if I was smart enough to explain what I think I understand..............
  20. Have you double checked the firing pin channel for debris or burrs? Loose tolerances there let crap in. A little soak in a copper solvent will help if there is any brass build up, these things make some brass shavings.
  21. If your LMT is a DI gun? Try that charging handle, I have had an out of spec charging handle before. Could be it's just the finish and will break in after shooting some.

Welcome from Iowa! The general discussion forum gets used for issues a bunch. There are also several manufacturer specific threads if we have one that fits your rifle, we have most.
  23. Nice looking stick
  24. A quarter in the bottom of the buffer tube might stop that contact.
