  1. Good stuff, love mine, would not hesitate to buy another.
  2. Extractor, ejector, springs for both, cam pin, and it never hurts to have a spare bolt.
  3. Gather you have the one on top? https://heavybuffers.com/ar10carbine.html
  4. It is the only round wire spring I know of used for both Armalite carbine and rifle buffer systems so there must be a touch of magic in there
  5. I took a look, can't morally talk you out of it, it would just be wrong of me.
  6. Welcome from Iowa! Good to see another Full 30 member join up. This is just what @Robert@FULL30 said he was hoping for
  7. Only set I have is KNS. https://www.knsprecisioninc.com/product/gen-2-mod-3-nrthp/
  8. Yep, I agree with @98Z5V there for sure, eliminating wear anywhere I could would be a priority if they were mine......... god I'm jealous.
  9. -10 will give you choice of shooting lanes as well.
  10. Very interesting item here, little bit of AR history maybe. https://www.ebay.com/itm/254973225996?hash=item3b5d96ac0c:g:WDEAAOSwbH1glxpP
  11. Hairspray and starting fluid will both work as well
  12. I bought one a few years back, don't remember where I found it, good fit but the black finish has worn from the white Delrin. Now I try to find out if they are solid color or coated, so far it has been cheaper to plug the hole with a FA but I'm out of the batch I bought a few years back when I saw them cheap.
  13. Could be the forward assist, a few years back I bought what was claimed to be a 308AR specific forward assist, they mentioned a longer pawl for proper function............ I had to remove the forward assist to get the BCG out, the longer pawl acted like a chinese finger trap, swapped to a regular forward assist from the parts drawer and problem solved, something to double check if you see the issue with your BCG.
  14. But it says AR10? and it's "equivalent" to 5.7 ounces. Makes you question how much R&D was done when they can't even get the nomenclature right, not even a mention of what size carbine tube it fits, wonder if they even know there are different sizes? .308, 5.7oz Equivalent For AR10 Rifles in .308 WIN, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Remington, 6mm Creedmoor
  15. Fixed it......He has one of those captured spring thingy-ma-bobs, https://www.at3tactical.com/products/armaspec-srs-stealth-recoil-spring-multiple-buffer-weights-available
  16. First advice that comes to mind is return that stuff and buy the Armalite kit; https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=AR10REKIT01&ReturnURL=/Armalite/Product-Category/AR10-Parts-Accessories/Lower-Receiver-Parts&Category=ac614400-ff09-4cdf-9d35-419a654e7201 Going to need the inside depth of the buffer tube. That captured spring stuff is a regular on build doesn't work thread parts lists here.
  17. Doesn't have to be out of spec to see what you have. Just a barrel on one side of the tolerance and a bolt on the other. I have run into similar, field gauge showed it serviceable but that's supposed to be fore heavily used weapons. I have a few different spare bolts so have been able to swap bolts around to get a nice tight fit when I see the problem, twice out of maybe a dozen rifles.
  18. Found it, piles of data but of course not the one set you are looking for.
  19. There is a thread here somewhere that has a multitude of bolt and carrier measurements, just can't remember the title, maybe someone will remember.
  20. We should be finding mushrooms but the lack of moisture may ruin another season. Thankfully TG just dropped their morel mushroom brew, no mushroom in it just their way of celebrating the tradition. Second year I've had this, can't think of anything to change on last years thoughts; Scorpius Morchella DIPA by Toppling Goliath Brewing in Decorha Iowa. Pop the top and your nose is met with sweet fresh OJ, a citrus burst. You don't notice the light malty aroma till you get the stuff right on your face. The taste is fantastic, spring for sure with a wonderful green flavor start to finish, fresh ripe citrus, maybe a bit of pineapple on the upfront side, real creamy. The end shows a little bitter but only enough to make the beer not to sweet, balance is dead on with this brew. Changes as it warms, more sweet and more bitter but still maintains that balance, Fuk'n good schit! Really reminds me of a brew they do with some New Zealand hops that I really liked. Buy when you see it in the spring, it's a once a year batch at Morel mushroom time. I will be jumping on more of this stuff.
  21. That part is, as a kit, it's a better system with a little heavier buffer. The high pattern you refer to would be the receiver rail height, critical when choosing a handguard but nothing to do do with the extension and buffer. There are very few hard and fast rules with this platform, mostly lots of exceptions with exceptions to those exceptions. The search function here is your friend, hours of reading to be had on what works where....and what doesn't, I've added a bit there myself
  22. Consider beefing that up a bit to the Armalite kit, actually showing in stock right now: https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=AR10REKIT01&ReturnURL=/Armalite/Product-Category/AR10-Parts-Accessories/Lower-Receiver-Parts&Category=ac614400-ff09-4cdf-9d35-419a654e7201
  23. I just spent a little time searching there and didn't find any of that Gen II stuff they have had for so long. I would not be shocked if PSA grabbed up all those barrels, it would make sense for them. They did have DPMS/ Bushmaster BCG's listed though!
  24. I have put together a bunch of little fire kits, bought a bulk lot of chinese ferrocerium rods for them. Never thought there could be much difference, if it throws sparks then good to go right? After trying out a couple more expensive rods I think it's worth spending more on quality. The difference is obvious, the chinese rods throw sparks, the RAT and Exotac rods drip lava. For practice use the cheap stuff but for when you have to have a fire right now have a quality rod at hand. I know these two are good to go, anyone else have a go to brand?
