  1. The benefits of being surveilled by big brother
  2. Can you post a picture of the the end of the gas tube looking straight down into the upper? Need to see the location in relation to the cam pin cut out in the receiver. Does it lock back after firing with one round? Is the catch is on the bolt face and not the carrier?
  3. Yep, I have heard Milwaukee has changed a bit since being bought out but the set I bought in 2006 is still going strong even after spending 5 years on a construction crew, did have to replace the brushes on the drill but at least they were replaceable. I have always been happy with the Makita tools I own as well.
  4. I miss the days when women liked real fur, the varmint population stayed down, I had fun and made some money, and the animal served a purpose after death.
  5. For sure, it wasn't until very recently that stacking some silver came close enough to the top of the list to start spending on it. Have the rotation for food and first aid pretty much handled, of course guns and ammo are always at the top of the must get more list One of the biggest positives I have seen from this scam-virus is friends and family starting to ask this "crazy prepper" what they should be getting, that and the wife appreciating having a stash instead of grumbling about spending on things we "don't need". Don't forget to update those range cards men!

  7. Been doing that some myself. Haven't been stuck on slabs but getting as many as I can that way, grabbing high quality coins in any denomination when I can get them in. Grabbing as much silver as I can get for reasonable (cheap) prices, that gold to silver ratio is way out of whack right now.

  9. Agreed, always puzzles me why more do not see this. Many in recent history have, Aldous Huxley is a good example. The Author adds his own thoughts but I tend to agree with the opinions given;
  10. @sketch Can’t beat that! I gotta get back in the groove next time home and make something out of all those parts laying around, that rifle is inspiration for sure!
  11. I like Rocksett for screws that will be subjected to extended heat.
  12. My SIG 716 bolts double ejectors are AR-15 ejectors. Your mileage may vary but worth checking.
  13. A custom barrel maker.
  14. You could order that combination from X-Caliber, don’t tell them I sent you Otherwise just start searching all the different barrel makers for it, might take you some time......... but google is free.
  15. I never could make up my mind so tend to go 1-8, my two most accurate 5.56’s are 1-8’s from Armalite. I have rifles in all three twists but not shooting at any real long range and most likely I am not a good enough shot to see the difference anyway.
  16. Happy Easter! Hope everyone made the best of this most holy day.
  17. For sure, we have section called "Black Rifles". https://forum.308ar.com/forum/23-black-rifles/
  18. At least a hundred in every bag, car, and home I occupy. Combine with duct tape and paracord and you can fix about anything.
  19. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri! RLTW!
  20. This Gunbroker listing makes me feel pretty good about my purchases, I might let a couple go for this price myself; https://www.gunbroker.com/Item/863787276
  21. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri!
  22. I miss those unemployment breaks I used to get..........
  23. Love those little dogs with big hearts.
  24. Nahhh, that would spoil the fun. Seriously though, I do agree and have suggested it in the past, need a good list like that posted in a few places.
  25. Only one way to go in my book. Start wide open, adjust down after each shot until it fails to function then adjust back up a couple clicks, depends on adjustment range as to how far back open you adjust.
