  1. Robert from Full 30 dug up another funny tune, always liked the original so it had me automatically tapping my feet.
  2. I set the wrench at 35 then move up till it lines up, never had it hit right at 35 but I would be comfortable with it. Don't remember where I first saw that spec but pretty sure I learned it here. @98Z5V can confirm those numbers, or tell you I'm full of it, or both
  3. I do despise the shim method of clocking, I usually end up ruining shims when I stack to many , but you dance with who ya brung. I generally make sure I get past 35 ft lbs and then stop when it lines up, have to admit to not reading directions though, I just shoot for between 35 and 80. Persistence has always gotten me there, sometimes after buying more shims to replace what I jacked up going on and off so many times.
  4. What are you shooting for on the torque?
  5. The cam pin turns the bolt off the lugs as it moves unless I am not understanding your verbiage when describing the issue. You say "exploded brass" could you elaborate on the explosion?
  6. Did you try mortaring it?
  7. I have put them on several 12.5 inch 308 builds and never seen an issue. The earliest style Sig brace on my P716 had issues creeping up the pistol tube but the SBA3 is rock solid.

  10. Used to like Dinty Moore beef stew but they cheapened the recipe over the years so only eat it now if my choices are stew or Beef-a-Roni. Never noticed a change in the aroma, my schit always smells like roses anyway

  12. ^ That right there gives a man a reminder of what is really important in life! What a cutie

  14. They are a BLAST! So far what I've put together has worked from the go with that factory gas port, thought it worth noting a piston system gas port size translates to a DI system.
  15. Maybe, they also showed up at CDNN right after Sig discontinued the P716, a very short run. They started out at $99 and didn't move in price or in-stock numbers for a good while. Mine are as uniform as my measurements can get, did notice a couple had slightly different port measurements but otherwise uniform for both styles they sold. That longer measurement we heard always had me puzzled. No matter why they blew them out they make for a super fun build for a discount price. Wonder if that guy on GB ever got the $500 for his? Best I can tell without beating the pins out of the gas block my P716 is the 3.500" dwell time. I have not found anything to indicate they ever did anything different there, changed up the gas block but the operating rod has the same part number.

  17. Got this from @Robert@FULL30 , similar dilemma, does it go in the corona thread or the music thread? Funny schit though;
  18. ETA Six Hours? No Problem. I'm Sure Your Hamptons Party Is Totally Worth The Drive, DIPA brewed and canned by Evil Twin Brewing in North Haven, CT. Pineapple and grapefruit on the nose with a hint of fresh bread. Very tropical, guava, papaya, mango, pineapple, blood orange, hell I don't know the flavor just keeps moving. A hint of that pithy dry bitter but balanced with a touch of sweet. Very good stuff, I will buy more.
  19. Well that got expensive real fast. Great find Doc
  20. Mancuerda DIPA, from Nightmare Brewing, brewed and canned by Dorchester Brewing Boston Mass. For Nightmare Brewing and distributed by 12%. Has a sweet floral aroma with a hint of citrus. Sweet tea with lemon is the first thing I thought of when I took a sip. The sweetness keeps going, pink cotton candy and bubble gum, just when the sweetness starts to be too much it finishes with a mild and dry citrus pith bitter, still on the sweet side though. Real creamy and no hint of the 10% ABV.
  21. Granny Smith's Delicious Gala Macintosh Apple Streusel sour IPA brewed and canned by Evil Twin Brewing in North Haven, CT. Smells like green apples and a hint of pastry. Flavor starts out with a sour tart but quickly goes to a sweeter apple tart. Hints of cinnamon and brown sugar balance the sour and sweet. I usually don't care for sours but this one I like. This should be drank a bit on the warm side, maybe 50-55 F. The sour declines and then it exudes apple strudel, a great dessert beer!
  22. How about a picture of that measurement? No offense but it's one of those see it to believe things.

  24. Cop and Go IPA by Short Throw Brewing Co. of North Haven Conn, distributed by 12%. Has a mild citrus aroma with a floral note. Has notes of lemon and grapefruit to start, touch of sweet juicy fruit gum in the middle, a grassy note with a dry pithy bitter at the finish. A good solid hazy IPA.
  25. Straight Bars IPA by Short Throw Brewing Co, distributed by 12%. Has a very faint tropical fruit aroma. Has pineapple, citrus, and melon flavors but super mild. Sweet with very little hop bitter. Good, well maybe just ok, kind of weak. I won't bother with this one again but if you like a mellower IPA then give it a go.
