That is an AR15 spring, not for the 308AR’s

Good basic stock, CTR uses a lever to lock up the stock to your adjustment, stays pretty firm. The SL line uses a couple chunks of spring steel to keep tension and stop wobble.

Did I get the main questions then? Couldn't really tell what was what on my phone.

Schit happens, bad schit sometimes. Not that far from my work; https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2019/10/24/hunter-believed-his-kill-was-dead-then-buck-launched-fatal-attack/

Too much to read it all. I will make a couple responses then you will have to follow up. there are generally two lop’s for the rifle length extension, A1 and A2, same receiver extension but A2 uses a spacer, google or the search here will give you lop. the Armalite carbine extension is a bit longer than the regular carbine extension, stability will depend on the stock you use, some carbine stocks are sloppy, some can be tightened up solid. Again, strongly recommend that you find a shop that has a good AR selection and get hands on to avoid disappointment.

Looks like Lake City military brass to me. Good stuff for reloading.

Look at the MechArmor charging handle on the LaRue site, very well made, nice to have the extra width to get around a scope is the real advantage. Magpul BUIS is an industry standard back up sight at a good price, if low profile is important then Bobro makes about the lowest profile available. Wait until you mount a scope and see what you need.

Search here and find any reports on issues with the Armalite system. Search here and find issues with the Aero system. Compare and you may see what I and many others here have seen. I have a receiver with gouges in the tail due to out of spec buffer tube from Aero, made me a believer.............
-
Apologies, they used to only have one type so I got stuck on just calling it MBT, I need to specify now that there are double and single stage offerings as well as curved and flat bow. I have no experience with the single stage, prefer two staGE MYSELF.

I like the nitride myself, slick and cleans easy plus it is part of the metal surface, not a coating. I have had a Brownell retro chrome BCG in hand, very nice, posted a thread on it somewhere here, they are on sale cheap right now Have a Brownell nitride and a Toolcraft nitride, the Brownell has a little nicer fit and finish but no real functional difference. The MBT has become a very popular trigger around here, many of us own several , I had SSA’s before they made the MBT but have not bought another since my first MBT.

Foolish not to take advantage of the most reliable buffer system made for about the same money, hands down the Armalite system wins, search here and find one that was a problem. I have read of several Aero kits that were issues and have one myself, gotta change the quarters every few hundred rounds as they get pounded flat.
-
Look at the LaRue MBT trigger, every bit as good as the SSA but under $100. Look at either Brownell’s or ToolCraft for a BCG, save $50-100 and not loose on quality. I would recommend going to a gun shop and looking at different stocks on factory rifles to get an idea of what you like. You can’t really go wrong with anything Magpul as far as quality goes.

Recoil is a secondary effect of changing the buffer weight, main purpose is to delay the opening of the bolt, heavier weight equals more delay. I have used an Aero kit like that, had an out of spec depth so quarters had to be added to prevent the carrier from striking the receiver, not a kit I would recommend, unless I sold them. The buffer in that kit is on the light side, many rifles will function with them but the H3 is a way better choice. You can use either a rifle extension or a carbine extension, search around here and you will see all sorts of combinations. Disappointing the Aero rep would put out bad info like that. It's not the case. As long as you have the correct spring and buffer for the extension you select it will run fine, no real trade off beyond losing the adjustment ability with a rifle length extension. I know of no hard data but it is often presumed the rifle extension stocks are tougher. I have some of each, depends on the purpose of the build. I highly recommend you spend a bunch of time reading here before buying parts, lots of ideas and lots of myths busted.

I gave you a reply there.

A rifle length gas system can still use a carbine stock and vice versa, they are two different systems. Keep reading here and it will become clear for you. When it comes to the carbine extension and buffer I highly recommend the Armalite kit, uses the AR15 H3 buffer, we never hear of issues with this system. https://www.armalite.com/product/ar10rekit01-6-position-receiver-extension-kit/

Check the difference in receiver price, it’s about a wash money wise but the enhanced is an upgrade for sure, stiffer, better heat dissipation. Only downside with enhanced is you are stuck with Aero rails, not really a bad thing, they run sales on receiver rail combos often.

Found the pin I was thinking of but not in stock; https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1003363754?pid=344332

Only oversized options I know of. I could swear I have seen pins that are in two wedge like halves that can be tightened for a snug fit but could not locate them. https://www.armalite.com/product/ea5101-ar10-oversized-take-down-pin/ https://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPTDP-308-SET

The Aero M5 receiver uses a DPMS high profile rail (.210) Tang. Veterans day sales and upcoming black friday sales should yield some good deals on rails.
-
No, different rail heights and size barrel nuts. AR10 and the LR308's platforms use different threads on the barrel nut as well. There are different heights on the LR308 platform as well. It can get confusing but post up here with what you have and the rail you are looking at and you will get some help.

Sounds a lot like what is going on in Mexico. I for one would rather we concentrate our efforts on making America great again and put the rest of the world on a back burner, take care of that schit nice and quite like we used to, no need to turn policing the world into a spectator sport where politicians demagogue the issues.
-
Sure doesn't appear to have solved the problem.......... We need to concentrate on our own business, clean our own house first before we worry about the rest of the world. If the drugs were legal there would not have been an Escobar, the war on drugs created him and will create many more just like him.

Hop Roulette DIPA and double dry hopped brewed by Dorchester Brewing Boston Mass. For Abomination Brewing Co., distributed by 12%. Has a mild citrusy hop aroma and a little bready malt note. Flavor is outstanding! There is a sweet malty backbone from front to back, some citrusy pineapple flavors on the front that goes to a mild piney dank bitter that balances the sweet just right. LOTS of hops in here men, get some if you can!

Now that would make a very unique mount!
