  1. ^^^^That right there! They have some great sales regularly, their Blem products are great, usually near impossible to find the flaw.
  2. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri!
  3. Bought a Matrix set last summer, looks good so far. I have installed the small stuff but set it aside when the Aero rail wouldn’t fit. The ears on the rail that fit over the upper did not fit. Still haven’t decided on the direction that build will go. Judging by the lack of issues brought up here I am guessing they go together and function. Generally when a brand has issues we see them here, think PA-10.
  4. Slip 2000 EWL and EWL 30 are great. Strike Industries Anti Venom scores well also. In all honesty a synthetic 30w motor oil will do just fine. Any odd wear marks inside the upper or on the BCG?
  5. Two PSA 5.56 Nitride MPI Full-Auto Bolt Carrier Groups, had them on the daily deal for $49.99 this morning. Wish I would have grabbed a couple more before they were out of stock.
  6. Carroll Iowa HyVee had six different 22 oz. TG offerings with this being one of them. I've got a Naughty 90 Oak Aged IPA yet to try.
  7. Wouldn't the offset buffer retainer handle the issue? http://commonbullets.com/wp/archives/1727 https://truenortharms.com/ar15_default_store_view/offset-buffer-retainer.html
  8. Gamma Gamma Ray IPA from Toppling Goliath Brewing in Decorha Iowa and Bottle Logic Brewing. Has a super strong pineapple mango aroma, very pleasant. The taste follows the aroma, there is a bit of a malty flavor but it takes a back seat to the hops. Mostly a pineapple, citrus, tropical fruit flavor but about any flavor associated with hops that can be described is in here, a little dank, a little pine, leaves on a dry pithy note. Feels like a thicker fruit juice in the mouth. A 22 ounce bottle is all I want with the 8% ABV!
  9. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri! How many rounds fired? Did you use lots of lube on the BCG? I have heard of the the target models sometimes taking a few more rounds to start functioning properly but the statement about pressing harder on the bolt catch to make it engage sounds odd. Does the catch feel sticky or rough anywhere along the travel?
  10. I'm a bit bored myself, I miss him already............
  11. You really should read the X-Caliber thread here, that guy was clueless, nice guy but clueless, bet you two get along great.
  12. That would infer you are done, please don't go, I have another hour or so before mom will have my bedtime snack ready.
  13. Man I missed the boat here, "X-Caliber" explains a lot!
  14. My Aero extension was too deep, required quarters even with the Tubb’s spring.
  15. Quarters are to stop the carrier from hitting the receiver before it bottoms out and to keep it closer to the bolt catch so it is not slamming the catch hard. If you need them with a standard spring then you still need them with the Tubb's spring.
  16. Should be the same length on either upper. You could bury the can in the rail but you better have nomex gloves if you are doing any heavy amount of shooting. I prefer to leave room for it to cool and not transfer heat to the handguard. I swap cans around from rifle to rifle and putting the can under the handguard would make that a pain. I'll take function over looks any day.
  17. Pseudo Sue Mosaic dry hopped IPA from Toppling Goliath Brewing in Decorha Iowa. Has a strong grapefruit aroma, a sweet grapefruit. The taste follows, lots of juicy ripe grapefruit, a little of that pithy dryness. There is a light malty sweetness but it is mostly dry fruity flavors, hard to explain a tropical fruit flavor but still has that dry component. Doesn't feel as thick as it looks but it isn't light by any means. Has a light fizzy carbonation that backs up that pithy dry note. As usual, a fantastic beer from TG. I notice as it warms a bit the tropical fruit, mango or papaya, starts to assert itself along with that sweet malty note.
  18. Leave a good space between the rail and the suppressor, mine is a 10 inch rail for reference. That schit gets hot real fast and so does anything close to it.
  19. Welcome from Iowa!
  20. Couldn’t be any worse than a colonoscopy........
