  1. Recently heard of someone making scales for these, I'll post up when I see a set.
  2. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri! No experience with that combination myself but with both being DPMS based I can't see where the problem would be. People have used Armalite barrel and BCG in a DPMS pattern receiver so no reason the extension on the barrel should not fit the upper with all parts being LR308 pattern.

Fuk that looks good! And an excellent choice on the beer as well.
  4. Can't even begin to recommend something without a budget.

  6. I'm not sure what they did but when it first showed up in Walmart, in white boxes, I could get 1 MOA. It still functions but the accuracy went away when they went to the new boxes. The brass is still good for reloading though.
  7. I was getting good accuracy for ball ammo with that stuff early on but the last couple years it seems to have went away, 3 MOA is as good as I see in it now.
  8. YIKES!
  9. Lets keep the facts straight, that slide fire ban is all on Trump, his call, his people wrote the regulation after the NRA turned beely up like the lap dogs they are. He didn't even get something for it, just banned your legally purchased accessory and didn't even offer to buy it off you. Wonder what he will give away next, Fudds don't care about semi auto........

Can’t wait to get home next week and get it on roast chicken and a ribeye, should have just enough.
  11. Maybe I didn't start a thread on this, swear I did something. I think I will go 8-9 inch barrel on the next one with that new Midwest rail that will let a can fit inside.
  12. Highly recommend the SB3A brace. PSA has them for sale in kits pretty regularly. https://www.sb-tactical.com/product/sba3/ There is a build thread under black rifles for mine. Built before the SBA3 came out. I may build another with an 8 inch instead of 10 this time.
  13. I'm a fan of the SLR, strip the adjustment or just loose something when you clean and they will take care of you. It is very much a preference though.
  14. so jealous!

  16. Stock Armalite, came in black or green with later models having slots in them. Very curious how these will run, been stocking up on them when I see them. Also curious about this sealing of the gas tube and block. Was there an issue? Seems unlikely there would be a gas issue with a rifle length gas on a 24 inch barrel. I have never experienced a tube or block that didn't seal themselves in short order, what exactly did he do to seal it? Is that the original factory barrel? Armalite triple lapped the barrels on the T series from the factory, are you noticing an accuracy increase?
  17. Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x with Vortex mount, $298 after tax with free shipping. https://palmettostatearmory.com/vortex-strike-eagle-1-8x24mm-riflescope-vortex-sport-cantilever-30mm-ring-mount.html
  18. I've looked through a number of their scopes right next to Nightforce, Kahles, S&B, and a couple others and didn't see any advantage other than the price being a tick lower. I do like that level indicator they incorporate around the reticle but I wouldn't think that would be a huge deal for the SOF guys in a 1-6x. I suppose they get all these contracts for the same reasons I see such a small group of contractors getting our construction contracts, familiarity with the government contracting system..........not exactly a good reason.
  19. 2015 Barley Wine Ale from Charleville Vineyard Microbrewery in Charleville, Missouri. Has a bready fruit aroma with a hint of alcohol. Taste follows closely but with that caramel sweetness. Almost a brandy like fruitiness with a nice but sneaky booze kick. Also taste that woody character you get from things aged in a barrel, not sure if this stuff was but it taste like it. Bottled in March 2015 it has a 10.5% ABV but I'm not so sure that hasn't gone up a bit with age. Skeptical I would like barley wine but this is good schit.
