  1. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri! I have some cratering on my Matrix build with a D Wilson BCG, not been an issue to this point.
  2. He just got there first, I whole heartedly support the bashing of CTD! and that was no where near "wrath" just a friendly heads up.....
  3. Big difference in match ammo and M80 ball if that's the comparison you are making. Tolerances are held much tighter on the match stuff hence the price difference. Last batch of Federal M80 I bought is pretty sloppy, occasionally get a 1 MOA five round group but see plenty in the 3 MOA range, still great for banging steel at 100 yards. I have some FN M80 ball that shoots 1 MOA easy all the time. FGMM is the most consistent I have used but that Prvi Wash suggested is right on the heels of the FGMM, any difference could very well be my imagination.
  4. Near the boot heel in Missouri, between Omaha and Sioux City in Iowa, not sure where LMT is located.
  5. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri!
  6. Very cool ?
  7. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri!
  8. Hadn't thought of that......damn you, now I have to buy one.
  9. Odd, when I checked the likes the most I see on a CROM comment is 2. The thumb is highlighted showing I hit it but seems like they are shorting you on likes?
  10. As much as I like the “right “ , equal opportunity hate for me........
  11. Comment and likes left.

  13. Naughty 90 Oaked Ale English IPA from Toppling Goliath Brewing in Decorha Iowa. Has a malty vanilla aroma, a hint of caramel. Taste has hints of a toffee/caramel/vanilla sweetness and roasted malt. Mostly dominated by a boozy/woodsy flavor though. The hops just don't come through for me other than a little bitterness. Good but not one I will go after again, kinda reminded me of cheap scotch.
  14. This looks interesting; I didn't find it on their site
  15. United Nations Ammo Company sells it among others, I have not purchased any myself but was satisfied with the 7.62 belted ammo I bought from United several years ago; https://www.unammo.com/Default.aspx#Rifle https://ammunitionstore.com/categories/linked-belted-ammunition/223-5-56x45.html Target is out of stock; https://www.targetsportsusa.com/lake-city-556mm-nato-m855-ammo-62-grain-green-tip-fmj-800-rounds-m855m27-p-107598.aspx
  16. Looks like I will be building a bench pig on the Matrix receiver set I have in the drawer. Ran across this barrel on ebay, haggled a bit and got it for $145 shipped. Guy had built a rifle for his daughter to hunt with but it was too heavy for her to use, ya think!?! Said it has 20 rounds off the bench and from our communication and his feedback I tend to believe him. It will be a beast but I've been wanting a bull barrel for bench rest shooting. He said it has a "custom" brake installed, hard to tell exactly what it is from the pictures but since I will be running a suppressor it will be a parts drawer brake for me. Great time of year to get second hand items with people trying to pay those credit card bills from Christmas https://ballisticadvantage.com/20-inch-308-bull-rifle-ss-premium-barrel.html
  17. Here are the parts you are searching for, part numbers are broke out if you want to search for individual parts. Armalite is out of stock on the kit but a phone call may get a different answer. https://www.armalite.com/product/ar10rekit01-6-position-receiver-extension-kit/
  18. As good as they get.

  20. Depends on your definition of pores, for the layman "pores" makes it easier to understand. Some metal surfaces will will hold more lubricant than others and some lubricants will stick to the the surfaces better than others. Start using the lube that 98 passed around and the difference becomes very obvious.
  21. Never applied it myself but have had several rifles done. My guy does not recommend barrels, said he would need to use the air dry type to have it tolerate the heat and it isn’t as tough as the bake on stuff. I have been amazed at how durable it has been for me.
  22. Best I have seen, built like a tank; https://www.fulton-armory.com/charginghandleassemblytitan-1.aspx
  23. Armalite and DPMS use a different thread pattern.
  24. About as cheap as they get; https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-5-56-nitride-mpi-full-auto-bolt-carrier-group-516446953.html?trk_msg=AG5M27M4V8RKL5N9DGN3L2P4PC&trk_contact=CCM1L42B6H11OTO9IV10FHBVDG&trk_sid=VM3GT96FPVVHKUJVMEL593DT30&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fpalmettostatearmory.com%2fpsa-5-56-nitride-mpi-full-auto-bolt-carrier-group-516446953.html&utm_campaign=Daily+Deal+Email&utm_content=12%3a00+Email
