  1. Well I'm not an animal guy SS (Hell....I don't like most 2 leggers more or less 4 leggers), but I understand how guys can get attached to their pets. A good pet can be more loyal that just about any other human can ever be. So I get it. Stay tough brother (as we all know you are).
  2. I could probably be talked into a road trip sometime soon. I can check the plugs, change the oil and kick the tires of the short bus. Or as Plane would say......kick the tires and light the fires. Tug on the belts....salute.....and launch! shhhhhhhh........(just don't bring up the microphone....he still hasn't forgiven Armed Eye Doc yet).
  3. A man after my own heart. No wonder we seem to see eye to eye brother.
  4. Been a long time since I've been to Texas. Hell.....it might have still been the 70's. laughing
  5. I'll vouch for that. Somehow, wherever Rene goes......beer just magically appears.
  6. Welcome aboard from MD Larry.
  7. Oh...I think you know mister.........................
  8. Hey! I'm just standing over here minding my own business. Now why would you try to shove me into this? laughing I don't even bother with this argument anymore. What the hell do I know about them? I only have 5 of them.....so I'm still learning about them. Ha! And for the record.....I don't think that I'm one of the "snobby" AR10 owners. I've got a couple of the "other" platform rifles that I like playing with too. grin
  9. These guys also. As SS said though, probably never hurts to call (if they'll answer). I've bought stuff from them in the past. If they've got it on the shelf, you get it pretty quickly. If not, you'll wait for who knows how long. And sometimes their website isn't always accurate about what's in stock. https://delta3tactical.com/store/products/Armalite-AR10-Bolt-Carrier-Group.html
  10. Can't really add any more than that. Hit it dead on.
  11. Too god damn funny right there.
  12. They did used to make the non-serrated carriers. I've got one on my A2 carbine. As others have said, they'll be harder to find, since they started putting the FA on everything and not just the SASS or 10T models. I would just go with the serrated one that you can get fairly easy off of Armalites' website (or other sites). It won't affect function. As far as mix and matching carriers to bolts. In theory you can run an Armalite bolt in a DPMS carrier. But I wouldn't bother. And why would you put a Chevy part in a Ford? Just sayin my man.
  13. I guess I've been called worse.......by others on this forum no less. Ha
  14. I was impressed. And my 300 BLK is a 10" SBR, and she's scary quiet. Pics are with, and without can just for length reference.
  15. Yep. The big boy AR's just don't play nice when suppressed. You definitely need to go the adjustable block route. It solved any of the issues I had with all of my 10's when running suppressed.
  16. That's what we like to hear around here. He's not even done with the first one, and is already planning on another one. You're definitely moving in the right direction Frank. laughing
  17. Yeah, you definitely need to go with an adjustable block with the suppressor. Otherwise, you're over-gassing the hell outta that thing. Sorry to hear you weren't happy with the BDS sling. What was it you didn't like about it? They're the only one's that I'll use these days. Just curious. Everybody has their own preference.
  18. Armalite was producing the A2 style upper pretty much up until the time that the "A" model was released. I believe that they killed the production of the A2 upper at that point, and sold off all of their remaining inventory. All of them (I believe) were for the "B" pattern rifles/carbines. But....................I could always be mistaken. I don't ever claim to be end-all know-all.
  19. DUDE! You're killing me calling it a "carry handle upper". It's an A2 upper just as others have said. And it's not that they're rare with or without the FA. Just that that the flat top A4 models have become more popular with the mainstream consumers. So the A2 style has fallen to the wayside. Not saying good or bad. Everybody has different tastes. Here's a typical AR-10A2 carbine. It's showing the left side, but no FA. And it's never been a problem to me that it didn't have it.
  20. Welcome to the club Sketch. You're gonna love running suppressed. You'll really be impressed running 300 BLK subs. Hollywood quiet. Blow em up brother!
  21. Hell. Send it over here. I'll take care of shooting it for you. And I'll even send you the brass back my man. Cause that's just the kinda guy I am. laughing
  22. I can see that him and I are gonna get along just fine. Welcome aboard gator.
  23. Welcome aboard Hoff.
  24. Shipping is gonna be a bitch.
