Just wondering what any of the other "fathers" may have planned for tomorrow. As we all know.....we generally go underrated in this world. Which is fine of course. We're used to it. Ha Anyway, I'll start. I think I'm planning on going to a bar-b-que lunch at my son's place. It'll be with him, his old lady, his sister (my daughter) and the ex (who I actually get along with pretty well these days....for the most part). Plus, I get to spend some time with the lil puddin (yeah....I said it). My granddaughter (HEY....I'm only 50 you bastards), who just happens to be adorable as she approaches to being about a year and a half old now. And.....I think that little girl has already figured out that she's got her grandpa wrapped around her finger. The little bitch. (said with love of course) So what are you a$$holes up to tomorrow? Fuckers!

I'm right there with you Shepp. A buddy of mine started wearing one of those fit-bit girly things (cause of a girlfriend), and I was giving him $hit about it till he started telling me just how far we had walked one day. Well over 12,000 steps by a little past noon. Not sure what the mileage translates to......but I think that I don't wanna know. I'm extremely hard on my boots. They're all I wear (7 days a week). I don't have anything else except formal dress shoes (one pair.....shocker). And I very rarely ever wear those. Just for funerals, weddings and such. Let me know how those work Shepp.

Not a 7.62 rifle. But here's one of my setups. A Daniels MK18 SBR (5.56) with a Viridian green laser/light combo with an Eotech (yeah, I know they're out of favor now) 553. This is a great "kickin in the door" type of rifle. And it still does pretty well at distance, for a short barreled weapon.

It's been a while, but c'mon fella's, you know the words to this. Sing along......... It's been a while since I went stumbling through the brothers door (since Christmas I think). So....I figure that it's fathers day weekend, and I haven't bought anything for myself in quite some time. I know, I know....how are you supposed to keep up the enabler persona if you don't indulge yourself too, right? But, since re-doing the bathroom at Christmas (and it's still on-going.....you were right Larry), and just about every other bill that's been floating my way (seems like a ton of them in the last few months), I've been trying not to spend if I don't need to. Plus....the fact that work has turned to complete $hit, and that I may just tell them to go fuk themselves at any minute (screw the 5% ownership, they can have it)........well......not spending any extraneous (good nickel word huh?) dough hasn't been a problem. But anyway.......I digress. Back to the matter at hand. So I go stumbling through the door of my local gun pusher. I'm a man on a mission. I have the OP laid out in my head. I'm gonna have the smooth door stumbling incident.....casually browse around (while fuking with the fella's there).....grab some 5.56 ammo since I'm running a little low (I'm down to only about 2K rounds ya know), and support my aforementioned local gun pusher. Then....I would make a smooth egress after making "said" small ammo transaction for another 1K rounds. With that, I would have performed an outstanding "hit and run" maneuver. In....out.....and down the road I go. Well............that didn't happen. Things didn't go exactly according to plan........as usual. Those sons-a-bitches! They've pretty much got me marked. Those rat bastards. It never fails. I walk in the door for one thing..........and I end up going out with something different. Fukers! So I'm slowly taking my time circling the area. After all...they have other customers who are actually gonna potentially spend some dough....while I'm just here for 1000 rounds of 5.56.....so I'm trying to be polite and let the "real" customers go ahead of me. BAD MOVE! So this gives me time to actually "look" at what's laying around here and there. Oh look.....a NightForce 1x4x24 "little" scope. DAMN....that would go good on my 300 BLK SBR instead of the Eotech 553 that it currently wears. NOPE! Don't need it. After all.....I didn't come here to spend 12-1300 bucks on a piece of glass. Sidenote - That's a gorgeous little scope.........I think I'm hooked. I think Rob has one of those too, and loves it. Hey.....it's NightForce........I don't think that you could actually be wrong in wanting one. But anyway. I keep circling. Look. Wilson Combat rails. Nice. Don't need it. Oh yeah....a small pile of Sig 300 BLK ammo. NEGATIVE (I'm set for 300 BLK at the moment....subs and super) I'm here for 5.56 ammo. They usually have a decent pile of the Lake City in the 240 round cans, sitting around. GAME SHOW BUZZER! They literally told me that I should go do some standup comedy and use that request in my routine when I asked about it. They just didn't have any bulk 5.56 at the time. What the hell am I gonna do? Buy a couple boxes? PFFFTTT! That wouldn't even cover a portion of a range session (as most of us here are). SO.......I figure that I was gonna get out really cheap on this trip. I was gonna continue to BS with the guys for a couple minutes....and then make my happy ass towards the door. BUT THEN.......................................... I was letting someone else buy something from the guys behind the counter and was just hanging there (in preparation of my egress out the door).....when my eye focused on a box sitting all by itself on a shelf behind the counter. Kinda low.......kinda out of the way.......not really standing out. EXCEPT.........to me. A plain white box with some black trimming. What could it be? A plain box......sitting all by itself........all alone......nobody to hold, caress and cherish it. Well.....I instantly recognized it as an AAC box. After all, I've already bought AAC $hit before......I know what the fukin plain box looks like. So.....when the brother behind the counter finishes up with the guy he was dealing with, I causally ask.........."So......what's in the box"? The fuker responds by saying "I was wondering when you were gonna ask about that". BASTARD! YOU FUKER! So he slides the box in front of me, and what do my eyes behold? A brand new, totally virgin, still in the plastic inside the box, Ti-rant 45M. FUK ME! I mean.....how did they know that I've been toying with the idea of another suppressor since the laws change next month? How did they know that I haven't bought anything for myself in months? How did they know that I would go for it once it was slid in front of me? How did they F-ing know? I mean..............I mean..................YOU FUKERS! Well.......to make a long story short at this point (since I think that you all have figured it out by now)......I bought the F-ing suppressor. Rat bastards. Preying on a hapless customer only planning on spending 3 or so hundred bucks on some ammo. I mean....don't they have morals? Don't they have guidelines? Don't they have a conscience? Short answer......NOPE. My name is Ron.......and I have a weapons addiction. I like to think that I can share with others.....who have the same affliction.
