  1. I describe the suppressed 300 BLK as "Hollywood quiet". Running sub-sonic rounds with the can attached, you'll hear the action of the rifle and the impacts on the berm more than the bang of the round going off.
  2. Well we all know what I'm gonna say. <lmao>
  3. Welcome aboard phantom
  4. From what I've heard. It's back to getting the fingerprint cards and form 4 put through your local CLEO. It's a pain in the ass for me here in Maryland. Because everything has to go through the ONE (main) state police barracks. That's a 45 minute drive (not counting traffic) one way. That was the main reason for forming the trust between my son and I. That and having the capability for either one of us to have possession of an NFA weapon (or device) that the trust owns. Just more horse$hit from the current administration to slow us down. As if the BATFE wait of 6 to 12 months wasn't enough. This $hit gives me an ice cream headache. Where's my beer?
  5. Coors light and MRE's? Now you're my kinda date big boy. <lmao>
  6. +1 on that wash. <thumbsup>
  7. Ramen noodles, ravioli, tuna fish and hot dogs. All of the 4 food groups that you need to live off of. And beer of course to wash it all down. Hell....it worked for me years ago when me and the old lady split up (for almost 2 years to be exact). After a while.....you're over the need for variety. <lmao>
  8. Both. They're one in the same. At least for me that is.
  9. I'm in. I'll be placing an order tomorrow then for some selectors and raptor handles.
  10. If you're asking this crowd to try and talk you out of it......................well...................you should know better than that.
  11. A VCOG? Apparently the "Lord of the naps" has a Swiss bank account that he hasn't told anybody about. <laughs> Now I don't mind spending some dough on nice equipment, but those prices even make me do a double-take.
  12. Hey Tex. Stag is showing lefty upper receivers and bolt carrier's as in stock. Just to let you know. Can't get on American Spirit's sight right now...it appears to be down. As Robo said, start gathering parts while you wait for the stamp. They may evaporate from time to time. What kind of barrel length are you looking for? Mine is a 10.5" Noveske barrel with a pistol length gas system. It'll eat up any kind of round I've fed to it so far. From the 110's supersonic, to the 220's subsonic (suppressed and unsuppressed). Here's an example of the overall length of mine. Keep in mind that I swapped the stocks out from a MOE to an ACS in between the pic taken. The can (AAC 762-SD) only adds about 7 inches to the OAL. My AAC SDN-6 adds about an inch or so less.
  13. If I leave right now.....and drive straight through.....I can be there in about a day and a half. <laughs>
  14. Yep. It's widespread. And we all have it. That's why we're here.
  15. Bada bing <laughs>
  16. The man makes a good point.
  17. Hmmmmm. I see a pattern forming.
  18. Damn right it's official brother. As far as anything that you bolt on......doesn't change that. Trust me......all of the stuff I've bolted on made Greg and Rob hate me. Or at least flip me off constantly. <laughs> Now, Rene was nothing but a gentleman though.......in a tin-knocker kinda way. <lmao>
  19. You've got an AR-10B receiver from Armalite. You, my man, have an AR-10. My 10 SBR (as an example) is an AR-10B receiver (upper/lower BCG, FCG) with a Noveske barrel and gas system. Along with the heavy buffers, Magpul stock, Hogue grip, Troy BUIS, Elcan optic and Rainier handguard and AAC muzzle device. It's an AR-10. Did it come from Illinois in that config? No. Hell no. They don't offer such a beast. Is it any less an AR-10 than my SASS? Hell no. Any less than my 10 A2 carbine? Hell no. Less than my A4 carbine? Hell no. I could go on, but there's no need. If it says Armalite on the side of the receiver, It's an AR-10. Nuff said. As you were.....carry on.
  20. Is that a jab there my man? <laughs>
  21. tube thingie in front
  22. cough, cough...........night vision.......cough, cough
  23. Pay attention to the lube part that Robo was talking about. Plus, check your mags. New mags can make an issue from time to time until they break in. I just went through some minor hiccups with some new 10 rounders that I had to buy to go see some friends of mine out of state. My 20 rounders (that are VERY well used) don't, or rarely I should say, have feeding issues. Plus, that's a good question from Farkle. Try your standard buffer and see what happens.
  24. That's one damn fine lookin rifle Don.
