  1. First, with me being THE Armalite pusher.......welcome to the club of AR-10's my man. Jumping in the deep end with a JP barrel huh? I like your style. It sounds like you're gonna need an Armalite carbine buffer tube. They're their own size compared to the DPMS/SR25 patterned rifles. I (and many others around here) will suggest getting a heavybuffer from heavybuffers.com. A lot of us run those. I use them in most of my AR's (especially the 10's). They alone, affect recoil a fair amount. That and along with a good muzzle device will make that thing shoot as smooth as an AR-15. Keep throwing questions out dude. We're not gonna make you feel stupid or bust you balls (well....maybe some light ball bustin). We're all here to help each other with ideas and fixes when needed.
  2. LOVE that landscape around you. Good lookin rifle.
  3. Smartass! :thefinger: Shouldn't you be at work? It's around noon or so out your way. What kind of intel are you looking for Pokey? Besides just some generic pros and cons. Now that I just woke up from my drunken slumber. <laughs>
  4. Welcome aboard P2B. Yes.....you can never have too many parts.
  5. You too? <laughs>
  6. It's not just SBR's. It's any class 3 equipment also. Machine guns....sub-guns....SBR's....suppressors. As far as being worried about being on a list. If you own anything......even from a NICS check.........you're probably already on a list somewhere.
  7. I say the same to anybody who's interested in SBR's. YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR TAX STAMP FIRST! Up to 10 years and $25,000 isn't worth having something "cool". Having the paperwork in the process doesn't count either. You STILL can't have the rifle (upper) assembled at all. Period! Until you have that stamp back from the ATF. THAT'S THE LAW!. LE or not.......BATFE doesn't care or discriminate. Before I got my first stamp back, I was even concerned about having the barrel in my possession. Technically, (if they want to) they can claim that you can assemble it anytime you want......and then go on your shooting spree (since we all know that SBR's make you crazed and extra violent). I've built multiple SBR's to date. BUT.....that's with 2 registered lowers (one 5.56 and one 7.62). I've got two more 5.56 lowers in the paperwork process with the ATF right now. Mainly, for other short uppers I've already put together. Granted, once you register at least one lower......you're ok (for the most part). Total, I think that I've got about 6 SBR's (HEY.....I've been going through a phase alright?). And every one of them was waited for patiently. You just can't rush the ATF. Again.......................10 years and $25,000. It ain't worth it for a 6 to 10 month wait. I'll get down off of the stump now.
  8. Yep, she's my top dog of AR's in the collection. I actually use a thin film of hi-temp bearing grease when I plan on running it with the can on the carrier and bolt assembly. Otherwise, just the typical lube the S h I t out of it for the first couple hundred rounds. The glass is a Nightforce NXS 3x15x50. Pricey? Yes. But worth it once you look through it. And for all you other armchair QB's. Yes that's a Harris bi-pod. I REPEAT. A Harris bi-pod.............................NOT (or will it ever be) an Elite Iron. I'll save that for the MRAD ball busting section. NOW....................back to your regular scheduled programming already in progress.
  9. Welcome aboard my man.
  10. That's what you call, a high quality problem.
  11. I'll act shocked that our government is pissing away more money/material.
  12. Yep. I haven't sold one yet. I just get more storage. As far as things with engines. By the time I'm done with them, nobody else would want it. That's why I still have a '95 F-150. And she still runs good.
  13. Yeah.....I caught it.......and promply scooted right by it. Not lettin him get to me.
  14. I've already been thinking that I need one of those for one of my SBR's.
  15. You gotta trade the weight sometimes for the right equipment. Though......mine had a UBR on in this picture.
  16. Armalite, or DPMS pattern? Armalite is 1-7/16 x 18. *** Duh........didn't even pay attention that this was under the (dreaded) <laughs> RRA category. Not sure about the RRA receivers.
  17. Oh....you know her?
  18. Alright..........now you're really pissing me off. :thefinger: <laughs>
  19. Dirty rotten bastards.
  20. Rsquared

    Topless of course
  21. That was a worthy trade though brother. That Garand of yours is down right sexy.
  22. Welcome from MD skeeter
  23. You mean..........you can sell these things after you shoot them? <laughs>
  24. Maybe with the crosshairs.............but a closed bolt would be rude...........for a brother that is. I ain't like that. Besides........you being the leader......nobody else wants that post. <lmao> Now are you gonna make it in May? I did PM your ass.
