I agree. I waited until the last minute to order my Noveske Leonidas barrel (and almost missed out on it) for my 10 SBR. And I sweated the couple months that I had it in my possession until I got the tax stamp back for it. My only defense would have been that I could prove that the paperwork was "in progress". Not that I think that the black helicopters were waiting to swoop down and land in my front yard. But...technically...if it's in your possession, and can be dropped on to another lower. They can pop you for it. And I kept it completely separated, in a different gun box than my other AR-10's. Not that that would have mad a difference in the long run. In the grand scheme of life, I like to follow the rule of don't Fcuk with the man. Moreover....don't give the man a reason to Fcuk with you. Lots of opinions of this out there. Be careful of any local laws (as 98 said), and cross your T's and dot you I's (I hate that expression, but it works).

Sing Along............................... So I went stumbling through the door of my local gun pusher (2 weeks ago). I was a man on a mission. I had a purpose. I had a specific goal in mind as I scanned the walls. He still has some decent stuff (that skirts the now socialist laws of my state). An Armalite SASS. Nice....but I already got 1 (2nd one in pieces). A SCAR heavy. Tempting......but I'm trying to stay focused. Nightforce.......some nice glass that he's got laying around (focus focus focus). Some heavy barreled AR-15's that don't look too shabby. Somehow, they're still transferable in my F-ed up state while all others aren't. And of course, the small compliment of class III full auto equipment, that he just loves to float out in front of me. A good selection of parts laying around, and blah, blah, blah. After all......I had an order to place. Like I said. I was staying focused. Standing steady. Keeping my eye on the ball. I was going to keep everything to myself until zero hour came. And..............................IT HAS. Well ladies.........it's here. My MRAD arrived today (in multi role brown....because that's how Tom would get it of course). Times are good. Things are looking up. Stock market is up. Inflation is going down. Global warming is receding. Dogs and cats are getting along. The planets are all aligning. Traffic is being cancelled. The government is giving us all of our rights back (I know...just a dream). My vacation starts at the end of the day tomorrow. And.....did I say? MY MRAD IS HERE. I'll be picking it up tomorrow afternoon..........and then the fun begins. I'll have 2 full weeks to play with it (naked of course while at home). Pics to follow tomorrow evening probably.

Armalite doesn't make a Pmag. They make their "10A" pattern rifle that'll except magpul Pmags, but not the mags themselves.

That would be the A pattern brother. That's the primary difference of the A and B. They made the A just so people could use the Pmags. I'm already deeply entrenched in the B side.......and I've got plenty of mags for them. :auto:

Yep. I used to get them shipped here in Md.........before my state went insane (communist) earlier this year.

Come on over to this side Tom. We can stand shoulder to shoulder. But, not sure with the LR-20 mags. Remember that the AR-10 mags are proprietary. But either way, I've got plenty for the both of us.

Just scanned the Armalite site briefly. It sounds like most parts could be interchangeable between platforms (A or B ). Probably (just guessing) the mag release will be different since it's made to accept Pmags. I'd still give Armalite a call just to confirm though.

Keep in mind also, that the AR10-A pattern was made up to accept the Pmags. All of mine are the traditional 10-B pattern. So I can't say for 100%. Not sure if SR25/DPMS parts may work in this beast. As Drew said, may be best to email mrraley or just give Armalite a call to hammer down some more details. Sorry fella's. I'm not much help on the A pattern.

Rifle length? MId-length? What kind of gas block are you using? Is the gas tube set all the way into the block and pinned? Finally (for now), is it for an Armalite upper? May sound like a stupid question, but I have to ask. Armalite gas tubes (rifle) are a pube longer than the SR25/DPMS pattern AR's. By the way, welcome to the forum.
