  1. That's one sexy bolt carrier there.
  2. Exactly. I mean, friends of mine have had the interstate approval (in the past) to take thier stuff to Knob Creek. That's the big macine gun shoot for anybody who doesn't know. But in these times, I would only assume that the ATF paper trail is slowing down. I'm about to start month 7 for my form 1's that I filed for my 2 SBR builds.
  3. Amen to that my man.
  4. I say, hell yeah. Bring em back.
  5. Fair enough.
  6. Welcome aboard my man. I'm a big fan of Wyoming. Hope to move there some day.
  7. They fill up fast brother.
  8. I think that you have to wait until you get your paperwork/tax stamp back from BATFE before you have it engraved. At least here in Maryland, my gun pusher suggested that I do it that way for the two that I'm waiting on.
  9. ^^^^ I'm right there with you my man.
  10. Even if they're ok to own...I don't have the ATF interstate "blessing" to move them out of Md. That would probably take months to process.....as with all other ATF paperwork. Let the arm twisting commence for everything else though.
  11. Range session? Did I hear range session? Md ain't that far from Mass. My arm could probably be twisted into taking a road trip. Couldn't bring the SBR's or suppressor's. But the SASS and carbine's could always come along for the ride.
  12. He's pissed.
  13. Or like this?
  14. Or this one. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/828475/noveske-match-barrel-ar-15-pistol-300-aac-blackout-762x35mm-medium-contour-1-in-7-twist-122-stainless-steel-pistol-gas-port-with-low-profile-gas-block
  15. I've been looking at this one in 300 BLK. https://www.primaryarms.com/Spikes_Tactical_Lothar_Walther_10_Stainless_Steel_p/sb31003-mp.htm
  16. Wow. I don't think that those marks will alter the peformance, but from a machining aspect, that seems pretty sloppy.
  17. This is a great thread Drew. My lgs is a guy named Mark. He owns 2A sales and supplies in Jessup, Maryland. He's always been real cool to deal with, and gives great prices for stuff. Both my son and I use him exclusively, except for some small odds and ends. He's always willing to do transfers also if I can find things like lowers (or anything else) that he can't get his hands on. His theory is, that at least he's helping me get something that I'm looking for. He's definitely..........Good To GO!
  18. Nice carbine there my brother. I like the look of the deeper mag. You have any plans for the handguards? Or are you gonna leave her in stock configuration? Wait a minute! I thought you guys in CT couldn't have "hi-cap" mags? They only allow us, in the peoples republic of Maryland, to have 20 rounders. Which....that will change on 1 October to 10 rounders. F-ing socialist's.
  19. Welcome
  20. Dammit. Hit the wrong damn button again.
  21. I finally made it out to the range today. Damn, it's been a while since I've been able to get out there. Been working my ASS off lately. Anyway, I've had this ACOG that I got about 2 months ago, and I've never had a chance to even do a rough sight-in. I mean, who doesn't like buying equipment....just to keep it pristine in the gun box. On a whim, this afternoon, I figured that I'd roll out and see how crowded the range was. It was a beautiful day here today. Sunny, scattered to few clouds, low to mid fifties. F-ing gorgeous. Perfect blasting weather. Then, I arrive at the range..........to find that nobody is there except 2 people over on the pistol range. Well, at that point I turn around and look over my shoulder to see if my old friend, the black cloud, is sneeking up on me? A quick glance, and a big negative. Huh? What? I'm non-plussed! I'm astounded! I'm shocked.............I think you get my drift. Here it is.....2 in the afternoon on a gorgeous day........and there'e NOBODY on the rifle range. Get the hell outta here. So I set my rig up and proceed to start doing 5 shot groups (not too slow....not too fast). Checking hits, marking them, and slowly walking the sights in. It was about 30 minutes in and I was getting the sights close. HEY.....don't rush me. I'm all by myself and not being bothered by anybody........and LOVING it. It was at this point, that I had to snap a pic of the target. Cause I found myself standing there laughing and thinking about all of the goofballs (no....not you specifically Goofball) on the forum. I had run 2 (5) shot groups through the center and 1 (5) shot group through the head area. Be nice now......I had some feeding issues that were throwing me off my game for the head shots. But I know that I suck anyway. Oh.....anyway....the last 5 shot group, I figured that I put through the top of the outer most ring. Without thinking about it of course. Well, you probably guessed it by now. The outer-most ring on these target is (drum roll please)..........RIGHT IN THE NECK! As we're so fond of saying. So here's a pic of the 10 with the ACOG......and the too damn funny (to me at least) neck shot.
  22. How come I have the feeling that you're calling me Fugly again?
  23. Big ol hello from Maryland.
  24. <thumbsup> +1
  25. Good lookin rifle there my man. Welcome to the board, by the way.
