My drunk ass came in here last night to give boot scraper a shout out and totally got side tracked @Boot_Scraper and I had been talking about some stuff in 2019 in DM, dude randomly messages me last week says hey keep your eyes peeled for an inbound package and totally surprised the shit outta me! Mississippi pot roast is my go to crock pot recipe i recently for an other on instagram I really like I’ll post below. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzEbN9ov78V/?igsh=MTJrajQzOWlsNjRwcQ== I got talked into an instapot last year fighting the you can do this in an instapot and is so much better bullshit, but I missed my rice cooked and it’s an awesome way to soft/hard boil eggs, and recently found out also great for steaming veggies. Always the one dish I’ve done in that was pork carnitas and they were awesome! also I think it’s in my note book chicken and wild rice soup you start in the morning in the crock pot then finish on the stove incase the link doesn’t work for some of you

Yesterday I went on about a 450 mile trip around trip around the east side of Wisconsin looking for snowy owls and rare ducks or what ever I could find. I think the looming storm put the damper on that. I did find a couple of cool old tugs in the Kewaunee harbor which is at the “base of the thumb” on Lake Michigan. One had Army Corp markings on it named “Ludington”. Saturday I smoked a chuck roast to use in chili today. First time doing chili on my pellet grill, it turned out really good!!!

Smoked some cream cheese for Christmas Eve, the two are bourbon old fashion topped with cherry preserves, the three are topped with blueberry jalapeño and strawberry habanero jam I tried a cracker recipe I found on Instagram, family loved it, I wasn’t to thrilled with it the crackers got soggy

One last tip, cook up your veggies throw them in the fridge, once they’ve cooled mix up the rest, throw that all back in the fridge for 30-60 min let all those binders incorporate with the liquids and firm up.

Don’t tell my mom, but this is the best meat loaf, it’s very similar to hers but she doesn’t put bacon on it or sriracha in the sauce I almost follow this recipe to a T I smoked at 200° for an hour and a half, then turned it up to 350° and glazed at like 130° internal to A crisp the bacon up more and B not risk burning the sugars in the glaze.

Damn that’s cheap! I haven’t seen them that low in awhile! I did notice the other day one of my stores had briskets at 3.79/pound down from 5.99$, and their butts we’re 1.60/ pound which has also come down
