  7. Welcome to the forum from southern Wisconsin. As for removing the hand guard yes you need to remove the gas block, it's not so much a "pain in the dick" to remove but you just need to make sure you get it lined back up when you reinstall. Being that hand guard is carbon fiber (which is sexy!!) it's epoxied to the barrel nut. To remove the barrel nut you'll need an armors wrench and a vise block for your upper. And yes the upper separates from the lower by removing those pins
  8. "good god man" maybe you should have read the other three pages of this thread before you decided to put up this useless troll post btw I see your new here, but I see no introduction. Feel free to go do that.....

  11. some kinda nickle Teflon coating, doing a quick Google search everything I can find comes up on foreign sites, one in some kinda Asian writing. AA: don't take this the wrong way but being on a budget why not try doing one first (I'd recommend the ar15). then when you get that running proper try your Hand at the other? At least with the ar15 your going to have a mil spec standard to follow and a bit cheaper build price?

  18. just found out that a man who had treated us like family every year at deer camp passed away today. His name was Mike Brennan, and served as Chicago PD in the 70's then moved to a small town in northern Wisconsin serving as a sheriff deputy and maybe sheriff (I forget if it was he or his son). He also owned the bar we stopped in to tell our stories from the woods and listen to his old cop storied from Chicago. So tonight I raise a shot of Tullamore Dew to you Mike, till we met again

  23. That's awesome I've had back issues since my teens, my back likes to bow shiftin my pelvis. I love my chiropractor I trust him more than a lot of "real doctors". Disc degeneration runs in my family too which he tells me I've got signs of. I noticed when I dropped weight I had less issues, I need to get back on that plan cuz I got fat again....,, Glad you got fixed up I know your pain it's not fun
