i know there are numerous threads on here. I'm going to rattle can my 1187 this weekend. I got it all wiped down in the garage, synthetic bits with denatured alcohol, metal bits with paint thinner. EDIT: I noticed after I let the gun "dry" after its cleaning rust spots in the reciver and dirt in the grippy spots on the fore grip and stock I scotch brighted the rec. and barrel, and brushed the denatured alcohol into the groves of the foregrip and stock. (one reason I want to paint it is the bluing is F'd), and then wiped the parts down again as stated above. I really like the look in the video below, he does 3 colors I may do 4. The gun is already black so I may put a few rubber bands on before the tan, then green and a chocolate brown then finish it off with the tan again. Any tips?
