It was a felony here for the longest time. Now they've opened a very limited season on them. The clear cut I spoke of is a hot zone for them, I wouldn't be surprised of they had a den or two down there.

After this past weekend I don't have much faith in hornaday rounds. My buddy was using 150 grain rounds he had two kills that didn't thru and thru they were kills but after shooting 30-06 we're used that and also they didn't tip right over I know I know I'm asking a lot. I was using Winchester 150 grain power points, I myself had no issues my doe was a 150-200 yard shot in behind the shoulder out the ribs took out the kidneys she maybe went 15 yards (typical to every deer I've shot) buck was 30-40 yards same deal tipped over in >5 yards. After talking to another friend who's very gun knowledgable, he said he doesn't like anything under 165 in .308 due to 150 being to light (it's ok out 30-06 cuz of the extra charge). What are your thoughts??

At dawn we were in our stands I just down the ridge from his as this nasty mass of snarling hell came from the bottoms then arrrrrrrooooooooo and the entire woods was dead, the wolf pack had found our doe........

My buddy Matt was sitting on a cross roads out pops a doe takes a shot she's gone as fast as she appeared. Not two min later out popped a big wolf prolly 3' at the shoulder looked at him starred him down a min and took off. when he went back to his quad he saw 2 more sets of tracks they were driving the pines trying to push deer out. 7 years ago I saw a pack of 6 at dawn, I thought I was dreaming. Their presents is known ive heard and seen plenty of sign but don't see them much. They took them off the endangered list 4-5 years ago, and opened a season on them last year but it's damn near impossible to get tags for. Pretty sure a lot of locals gut shoot them.
