So is that some kind of rubber pad on the bottom or 3m tape http://tacfirecon.com/products.php

Damn 98 that had to be some scary poop right there? Being pushed down a sheet of ice by a land whale, then compressed into a fence at good clip I'm sure and to only get a hernia. I'm thinking your damn lucky brother that it wasn't worse. At least you gave me some hope that I can make it through our peak season with this thing and the sock and tape idea may come into play when I start pulling doubles after Thanksgiving with no days off until Christmas. <thumbsup> And yea I seem to have a knack at derailing a thread sorry blue.
-
I hear ya bro, I rather just keep working but I know its only going to get worse if I don't get it taken care of.
-
Looks like your confirming my suspicion on my down time that I'll have. For now I,m just pulling my pants up as far they go and tightening my belt an extra notch to hold my guts in ??? seems to work. (probably more than you wanted to know :ugone2far: ) Thanks for the info brother. Just have to make it month and a half before I have this done.

Is that a little girl at the feeder? Cool pic but a scary pic if that buck decided to get nasty.

You guy's are making me hungry :)) Nice job Madhouse hopefully I'll have mine this Sat. It be the last chance I get until the Christmas rush is over for us.

There you go! nice buck <thumbsup>

Panther Arms DPMS .308
seasprite replied to ThunderingThird's topic in DPMS LR-308 General, Technical Discussion
Welcome thundering bird, couple of questions for you. Is the ammo 7.62x51 or .308? Are these handloads or factory? and last what is stamped on the bottom of your barrel? It will either be 7.62x51 or .308 and I need the barrel stamp not whats on the side of the receiver. -
Glad your wasn't bad I have no idea on mine yet other than the doc said I have one. The belly laughs might be hard not to do if I spend my down time on this site  and thanks for well wishes. How much down time did you have because of the surgery? Doc told me 2-6 weeks hoping for the 2 but since I do heavy lifting at work I'm thinking probably more toward the 6.
-
Man I want to commit to this but I'm going in for surgery for a belly button hernia after the first of the year so it looks like I'm out for now. Got to save up for the bills while I'm off work. But I'll still be following this thread to see how it goes.

Now that was an expensive deer season there. What was the damage to the vehicle and was it worth it another words did you get your deer? I guess he must of pissed off that porcupine <laughs> At least he didn't have to worry about human smell the rest of the day, did he score after that?
-
DAY2 well it was like day 1 windy as all get out but no rain this time I didn't see any deer at all unlike the first day. At least on the first day when we were heading for our stand we spooked one but it was to dark to take a shot and then after we got settled in our stand 15 min latter I saw a deer but it was to dark to tell if it was a doe or a buck and with the 4 point rule I couldn't take a shot without knowing. The one interesting thing that happened on the first day was when there was enough light I found that I had company in the tree with me an possum about 6' from me out on a branch. He didn't look to happy to have visitors that day but at least he minded his own business and minded mine. Well its time to go back to work now so the deer will have to wait until the weekend and it figures because the weather is beautiful today and NO WIND well this weekend there talking 30* for the high on Sat. with little wind so the chance of bagging a deer should be a lot better. Good luck guy's hopefully you'll be blessed with some deer this year and a safe trip. <thumbsup>

Bucken offence still couldn't get it together. We kept them under 30 so even though we didn't put Payton on the ground the defense did good in my opinion.
-
Wow just logged on and some serious poop going on. I'm glad you got out with little damage Unforgiven. Prayers for those effected by the tornado. Living on the edge of tornado ally I can tell you when a storm rolls in we pay attention and have spent a few evenings in the basement but by the grace of God we haven't been hit. As far as football goes we still have a chance only 7 points down at the half. Well game coming back on so I'll talk latter <thumbsup>
-
Be sure to watch the game of week now Chief's vs. Bronco's . With Payton's ankle all taped up I hope the defense rocks his world.
-
Now you reminded me of the 5 gal. bucket that we did the same to. Use to send that sucker above the tree tops until we put a little to much gas under it. ::)
-
Well the first day was today and it SUCKED wind 30 gusting to 40 with rain and 70* temps. spring time anyone  oh well better luck next time. Wanted to stay longer but the guy that has property rights decided to call it quits after 4.5 hours today so it was short on top of that. But I'm grateful that I did get some time in. Tomorrow is going to be another short day but I still love the time that can get with a rifle in the woods because I know one day I won't be able to go at all. Hopefully quiet a few years down the road but you never know. I'll update tomorrow <thumbsup>

When I tried Hornedy one shot I swear every time I was going to stick a case. Switched to Hornedy's Unique brand of case lube and its been smooth and easy ever since.

Just curious on this if they approved something and then decide against it wouldn't that open the ATF up to some kind of class action suit? I know the .gov has no problem spending our hard earned money and couldn't give a rats as s about some people that bought a trigger but to us working stiffs don't have that much disposable income to throw away because they go oops. Gets my blood boiling every time the .gov gets into my business. I know they haven't yet but with you know who in charge I could see an executive order if this came across his desk. Oh and can you refresh my memory on the hellfire thanks?

Due to ammo cost I couldn't see hitting the fun switch very often. As far as muzzle climb I figure a good comp might overcome a lot of that along with a forward grip. I would also limit the built weight to 147 gr to 150 gr. Here's a 13 year old on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VqoKpUVgGA

Glad we didn't grow up together because I used an old fire extinguisher as a flame thrower. Can't remember what we used to fuel it but I do know it wasn't gas. We would unscrew the top add the liquid then take a pen apart along with a bicycle pump to pressurize it. Had this brick wall in front of the house I grew up in and figured it would make a good test place without burning down the house. We lit that sucker off and the whole wall went a blaze  Scared the poop out of us to see that brick with fire all over it. Never did that again when we realized the amount of butt hurt we would of got if we had been caught or burned the house down :bat:
