  1. I wounder what effects it has on barrel harmonics ?
  2. Another thing to consider is the load. I mean if you can get the bullet to exit at the same point during the whip your going to have an more accurate rifle then one that exit at a different point in time. Isn't this why we identify the scatter nodes along with the accuracy nodes when we work up a load is to find what works best with our barrel harmonics. At least this is what I've been basing my load development on.
  3. I guess that fawn knew who the dominant one is huh :whip2:
  4. Thanks for the welcome back guy's since the weekend is here the wife and I decided to go to the range tomorrow to get reacquainted after a month of just passing each other in the house. I haven't pulled the trigger on my 1911 and High Standard pistols for awhile. I think I'll play her in a game of battle ship tomorrow. >:D http://www.cabelas.com/product/Birchwood-Casey-Game-Targets/1317798.uts

  6. Well this was one of the craziest peak season at work this year :cookoo: I hope you guy's got your stuff on time for Christmas we were processing around 300k packages per shift ( 6 hours) during peak week, thats almost 1 million packages a day coming through our building. It was never designed to handle that much volume at one time but we kept it moving. We ran out of package cars for deliveries we even rented Ryder trucks and anything else we could get a hold of for delivery vehicles. Out of our building we ran around a 100k deliveries per day and we only cover half of the KC metro area another building covers the other half. Well thats were I've been for the last month did I miss anything :hunter: Hope everybody had a good Christmas <thumbsup> Glad to be back. Next is to get to the range I haven't pulled a trigger since hunting season.
  7. Yep I agree he said all that needed said, to bad there couldn't be a some kind of boycott for couple of games, but you can't get a whole group of people to take a stand anymore just look at our .gov
  8. Well I guess if you blow them away the crowd might not get as excited like a close game so either will work.
  9. Ahh yes, the old Aqua Net worked great in getting those potatoes flying for couple of 100 yards <thumbsup>
  10. Sketch, I see the Hawks are trying for the loudest stadium so I'm going to have to go with the Saints on this game >:D After losing the last three in a row I feel the Hawks are trying to kick me while I'm down :909: :P
  11. All I got was PAGE NOT FOUND <dontknow>
  12. I have to agree with this, the first weekend I went out it 70* and windy nothing. The next weekend 25* lighter winds = meat for the freezer.
  13. If you noticed Chiefs pissed me off couldn't even update this thread when they gave it way with seconds left in the game against the Chargers, reminded me of the old Chiefs. Well this weekend we get rematch with the donkey's so we'll see if they can redeem themselves.
  14. I've never heard the sproing from my .308 but I've heard it from the 5.56. Maybe the difference in power for you to hear it? <dontknow>
  15. Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here on the forum and I would love to thank my Lord for blessing me this year with a harvest of deer and bountiful work. I wish a blessing of harvest for you all and may your cups runneth over and give thanks to the Lord who has provided it to us. As good stewards of the harvest that was given to us may we share in that bounty with those that are less fortunate. Seasprite

  20. DAY 3 This was my last chance to bag a deer this year because of work and the weather was a lot better for deer, 25* light wind and sunny. Guess what I found a unicorn and people say they don't exist well they do, they just look like a deer <thumbsup> This is my perch where the shot was taken from The shot was only about 25 yards not far at all and this is the ridge that I shot the deer on The A-max did a lot of damage. I was surprised at all the blood from the impact site on the ridge. There was no trouble following the blood trail and ended up about 100 yards from where I shot it. With that much blood I was really surprised that he made it that far.

  25. Definitely lube it real good DPMS recommends that the bolt and carrier be pretty much dripping with oil during the break in process. They make em pretty tight I had to use a punch to drift the take down pins the first few times. Use quality ammo for the first 200 rounds to. I used Privi Partizan 175 gr match for my break in. That was the last time mine shot factory I roll my own now. What model do you have? Mine is or was an Oracle ( just a few mods) and it a tack driver. Glad to see another Missourian on here <thumbsup>
