  1. Welcome to the world of reloading shibi. <thumbsup> For me it has become an addiction of sorts so look out. And yea it would be nice if the powder would come back around the only place I was able to find mine(CFE223) was at the gun show and they had it marked up about $30.00 for an 8 lbs. keg but it was available so good luck in finding powder brother.
  2. Oh man Its been awhile since I read this story and well <laughs> <lmao> I think it should be required reading before a deer hunt.
  3. Man running around playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians along with some GI Joe neighbor hood wars with are cap guns was the ship. Best part about it nobody gave rats ask as long as we didn't break anything and mom and dad was just glad we were out their hair >:D Hell this country has gone to poop so bad someone will call the cops and you'll probably get shot dead if you do this anymore. Use to like the plastic caps the best over the paper ones, the plastic one seemed louder to me unless you hit the whole roll of paper ones with a hammer :))
  4. The latest going on here is Dwayne Bowe decided to buy a sack and got busted. I figured since he was going to mile high he just wanted to get used to being lite headed :cookoo:. I but this will have an effect on his wind, probably be huffing and puffing after a couple of 30 yard sprints.
  5. Can't let these old codgers from the 50's beat us out 67 checking in <thumbsup>
  6. Exactly, its all about the meat and besides I think doe's seem to have a better taste. Which leads to another question :)) What do you guy's consider better tasting bucks, doe's or no difference between them? And thanks for the good wishes <thumbsup>
  7. I don't have one yet but I like this idea here that way I can build it as I go for what purpose I need it for. If you buy one mfg. chest rig are you stuck with their equipment or can you mix and match ?
  8. Thanks brother hopping to fill the freezer <thumbsup>
  9. Well its my LR308 of course and my son will have my Winchester 94ae.

    Duck hunting

Oh man I haven't busted a clay in a long time now you got me wanting to do it. The only problem is deer season first then peak season at work because of Christmas so it might not be until January before I get the chance.
  11. Last I checked those horny bastages can't climb trees <thumbsup>
  12. Way to go sketch, I got to take it easy this week 8) Was hopping that the Bronco's would of lost today but I guess they will next week :fawkdance:
  13. Next weekend is open season for modern firearms for White tail deer. So we went to download the photos from the game camera that a friend of mine loaned me this year. Running for freezer space this year is: This one here looks to be a 6 point buck but due to the laws of Missouri, bucks have to have at least 4 points on one side so not a candidate but it was the only buck I caught on the camera. Then it looks like a yote in this one Don't know what to make of this one but I bet he's a nice guy that would never hurt furry woodland creatures >:D
  14. Looking good, now its RANGE TIME!!! Always love the testing part.
  15. Like the basket too. <thumbsup>
  16. Now thats pretty slick there. So whats the process on the cnc ? I'm mean how does it remove the unwanted wood?
  17. you guy's are relentless <laughs> <lmao> now excuse me while go clean my key board.
  18. Oracle you say, I have one slightly modified it the most accurate rifle I own right now sub MOA with my hand loads. Here's a pic. I've done a few things to like : Apex hand guard Geissele SSA trigger adjustable gas block LMT ergo grip Magpul ACS lite stock Weaver 2.5-10x40 scope Burris P.E.P.R. mount Things left to do: BA Battle comp. buis sights I considered the Oracle a blank slate that I could do what I wanted and still be able to get some range time. The biggest improvement by far was the trigger upgrade I'll never have a stock trigger again unless it comes stock with the Geissele in it. Welcome to the forum and watch your wallet we like to spend other peoples money :)) enjoy that new rifle I know mine is a blast. <thumbsup>
  19. Glad your getting it figured out so you can run it the way you want. <thumbsup> As far as the stamping on the receiver I know DPMS will stamp LR308 on all there large frame receivers even though the chamber is different. If the Remington is just a rebadge DPMS since Cerberus owns them both it might be the same?
  20. MMMM I just got done eating and your making me hungry again. If the Lord blesses me with venison this year I'll be trying your recipe Neal.
  21. Looks like you guy's had a heck of good time Drew <thumbsup>
  22. This way of the future generations our schools our teaching our kids to be a bunch of wusses and if you have a problem the .gov will take care of you. >:(
  23. I love to cook my venison steaks over a wood fire and the key to good taste is slow cook those suckers and I mean slow like a half hour to 45 min. so you don't dry it out. I have friends that ask all the time how do you do that because the taste is great and not dry and they seem to never grasp the concept of slow cooking plus turn often.
  24. The best way I found to keep my fish fillets was to fill the freezer bag with water until the fillets are covered then freeze. The block of ice keeps your fish for a very long time.
  25. If thats the case we need to know what the barrel is stamped with .308 or 7.62. I know DPMS says not to run nato ammo in there .308 chamber because of it being a tight chamber and won't feed the 7.62. Atakachafa, do you know what your barrel is chambered for .308 or 7.62? It should be stamped on your barrel somewhere probably under the hand guard.
