My rifle was overgased darned near ripped the case heads off from the early extraction it was having. I put the Pri adjustable gas block on mine and it stopped all the problems from overgasing that I was having. In your case I wouldn't get to worked up over it a standard block should do unless you plan on putting a suppressor on it or want to slow the bolt down for little less recoil.

He's just showing the Fudds he's one of them. Fudds are the hunters that think AR style rifles ain't good for hunting and thats what our 2nd amendment is all about. We have a few them at work I tried to educate them on the true meaning of the 2nd but they have been asimulated by the Borg (Democrats). Looking at this pic here I can't help but think that the gas block is to far back toward the receiver. You have it butted up the lip on the barrel where the retainer for the glacier guard hand guard retainer would go. On mine there is a small gap between the lip on the barrel and the gas block. I'm not an expert with these rifles so take that into account here. But the first thing I would do is start checking at the gas block and work your way back to the buffer and spring. Check the gas block for looseness and aliment and leaks & does it have an adjustable gas block may need opened up some. Check gas tube for blockage and kinks Check gas key for looseness Check bolt & carrier passages for blockage Check stagger in the gas rings If you can pull the charging handle back with an empty mag will the bolt lock back and does it stay locked back when you drop the mag? If all this checks out I would say oil the snockers (dripping wet) out of it until its broke in just might be to tight. For whats its worth thats what I would do I'm sure one of the guru's will be along to help before you know it this is a great site.

Most all shooters I talk to are some of nicest people you can meet I always seem to get into some good conversations during the cease fire at the range. But every now and then I run into some gun snobs who are too good to talk to us common folk.
