I concur 100% I spent a great vacation with my wife on Maui it was awesome great food lots of sun ,but! I would not live there if you paid me 100,000 bucks a month never have I seen a more liberal, out of touch with reality place in my life and yes there are criminals there just like everywhere else do you think they care about you ? my advice is leave if you can and tell the local government why you are leaving hold them accountable for your rights . If you can not leave become active and speak out..... welcome to the forum.....

OMG! What a lifetime memory I Just participated in First and Foremost I have to say thank you to Tom and Kim Tom has been trying for 10 years to get me there but life and stuff have always manages to get in the way not this year my Brother.....To Doc and Susan I am humbled and Honored that you invited me to stay with you, a unknown weirdo , Rock smasher and all around stranger and you allowed me into your home !!! from the bottom of my Heart thank you . Doc you almost (I said almost got me to tears you know why )again thank you . Now in this day and age of who knows what is normal you have my two Amigos one from fairy city and one from Eh ! You made this Possible for me you took care of me and you have made a life long friend of me what more can I say both of you ROCK! thanks for putting up with me for 44 hours of sitting in a rocket loaded to the gills with fun stuff and great conversation even though i woke up in another Galaxy we Nailed it Roman you are a man among men with your generosity nuff said..... Eric you made me realize I am not a smart person but you are, and you possess a awesome sense of Humor the trip was hilarious... Ok lets get to it what did I expect ,a lot what did I get ? more than I expected, I must apologize I am not as good as I used to be,but I am as good as I ever was, because of each and every one of you Brothers and sisters my life is enriched beyond belief I have been in a rut in my life for a few years Life ,health, family, has been a tough few but after these few days of just being..... I feel i have peeked over the edge and can once again see who I am. I feel rejuvenated in spirit and feel like getting after it (life) again....no one person is responsible for this event because it is made up from the sum of the whole without any one of you it could not happen . this thing created in the desert is for the soul it is food for the spirit it does not matter what goals we did or did not accomplish there it is not how many things we did, it is about giving of yourself to another it is the greatest gift we have our love for another human being I am truly blessed thank you ALL..... "A man is not judged by what he owns and possesses he is judged by what he gives away" Thank You....... Osda

That right there pretty much sums it up a 1/2 MOA gun at 100 yards is a 5 inch gun at 1000 whatever you are shooting at from zero to 1K will never know the difference... wind and consistent reloading practices and knowing your velocity not guessing or thinking i am around this or that speed will make Long range shooting a ton more precise .
-
Yeah Sketch I agree i need to buy a dedicated BCG tool craft it is I will also get a set of go no go gauges need them anyway bolt will not close on a factory round Aero precision barrel 20 inch DPMS upper 15 inch hand guard maker unknown to me 308USK it is a head spacing issue.....
-
Ok built the upper all assembled and tried to use my bolt from my LR308 no close... so I do not have go no go gauges so do i need to buy another bolt and try that or? I have been sitting on this build for a year with my thumb up my A$$ time to get it done I want as accurate build as I can make it and want to use it at steel distance shoots.

What made you decide to move to the 308 AR/AR-10 Platform?

I would love the 31 B very nice ... and I am sure I have said this somewhere in this thread but 11 years ago when that other president was in office , my wife of all people said we should have a few more pew pews around and so I set out to find a new rifle , one i could kill elk with and two was fun to shoot and three it had a common caliber. So on one of our shopping sprees, i walked into a pawn shop and asked what he had he said he had a brand new DPMS LR308 I said Hmmmmmmm let me see it . well if you knew me I am tough on weapons I use them and abuse them and me and wood stocked guns do not get along very well. So i am looking at this and I think looks just like my little 15,s but it weighs a lot more but it is all parkerized or Plastic I fell in Love no rain or snow or dropped down the mountain will hurt this thing so she cam home with me and has killed 7 elk in the years I have owned her and many deer shoots sub MOA with Barnes 168TTSX and just keeps on trucking..... -
I am loading now LOL

Erics Tuner is a great tool but it is NOT! a fix all for hand loads you still have to do the work and find a good powder charge, then find a good seating depth node. Then you use the tuner /Brake to fine tune your load then you will have about as good a load as what your barrel and action can produce. Your crimps need to be consistent I mean to the knats a$$... as they effect pressure and that will in the long run effect your groups. Of course I am talking semi Auto guns here bolt guns are a different animal. That tuner will make a good gun Great and a great gun into a winning gun but !!!!!!! it will NOT turn crappy ammo into awesome ammo...
