I have shot elk with just about every boom stick you can think of Muzzle loader 50 cal, 270, 4570,7mmSTW,7mm mag but the loudest and hurts the most is my LR 308 I once shot a elk in some fog and that shot almost laid me out it hurt so bad .I got a can after that one and have used it hunting ever since I am at about 50 % lose in both ears the right being a bit more 58% Tinnitus is 24 /7 7 days a week, now that I am a old fart I am very careful about using ear protection when I was young, I sacrificed my ears to Rock and Roll and I still play my music loud as Fuk. If you are in a band or job that has loud stuff all the time you have to use protection playing drums in front of 3 Marshall stacks is what did my ears in... not guns....

My wife carries a sig P365xl it is a winner in all categories....

The tuner no matter who makes it is NOT a shortcut to amazing accuracy you still have to do the work you still have to find a powder node, the right powder, the right bullet, and the right seating depth within the confines of the weapon system you are using THEN it will fine tune your load...

I froze a BCG for over a year ( I forgot I Froze it ) it was pre lubed with AZ took it out of a zero degree freezer dropped it in a lower and fired 30 rounds without a hiccup...

I used to think 500 and 600 were long shots before the fall shoot I thought 1200 or so was long 1000 seems like a chip shot now and 500 is just no challenge but come a windy day I will again be humble..... LOL the Mile is just a awesome feeling I know my gun is not the best for it but it is capable under the right conditions If I was going to shoot a mile and further I would have a 338 Lapua.....

He has been bit by the long range bug ........happens to us all....... LOL
