  1. I am still of the opinion the stock trigger will serve you well at least until you get tons of rounds under your belt and through your weapon. I have a G19 with a 3.5 installed, I recently shot a G17 (Gen 4) with a tuned trigger (not sure the weight), I am issued G22 with a 5.5 and a G23 with a 5.5 that I carry on t-shirt day. Unless I am on a bullseye course or at 25 yards and beyond, I don't notice any performance differences. Take a bunch of courses, consistently apply the fundamentals, shoot every chance you get and you will get fast and accurate. There are no short cuts in being a good shooter. A lighter trigger won't help if you can't rapidly align your sights and pick up your target. A lighter trigger won't help if you can't manage recoil shot after shot. A lighter trigger won't help if you are in poor anaerobic and aerobic health. A lighter trigger won't help if you can't obtain a consistent grip on the weapon draw after draw. A lighter trigger won't help if you have a sloppy trigger press. I am not saying you have any of the above issues, but if your are struggling with any of them, that is where I would focus.
  2. Amen. I don't think those units would purchase the Sheperd Scopes. Not so much from a quality standpoint (because I can't personally speak to that), but from a practical application one. From what I can tell from the website, none of Sheperd's offerings marry up with what has been taught for quite sometime...at least that I am aware of. Are you affiliated with Sheperd Scopes?
  3. In your other thread you had mentioned that you wanted to do IDPA as consistent training since you are a CCW carrier. If that is still the case, I would leave your factory 5.5lbs in there and commit to practicing more. Especially if you are going to carry the same weapon you are competing with.
  4. They are priced well.
  5. You are very correct. I am an H59 convert myself.
  6. I have to agree. And while I am not a member of the Military, I do dabble in the precision rifle community as part of my profession AND I, too, have never seen one of these scopes mounted on a working rifle.
  7. I would hope that is the case. I run the MK11 Mod 0 and trained with the Mod2 and while they are good weapons, they are nothing I would want to mimic too closely if I were building a rifle to compete with. Of course it has to be within guidelines. Drop the coin on an OBR...sounds like that would work.
  8. Daaannnnggg.....as DNP said...You are one hard Son of a Gun.
  9. Hoarder??????....Wash could be considered a junkie.
  10. <laughs> <lmao> <lmao> <lmao>
  11. I bet your ear hole hurts like hell this morning.
  12. This doesn't sound about right to me. You seem to be oblivious to why there is friction surrounding you. It has nothing to do with Tom. Tom has a big personality and his BS meter picks up on trace amounts. As you can see Tom can certainly handle his own. The main issue is with you not wanting to listen when people try to correct you for using the incorrect facts and terms. Again, I don't speak for everyone, but before you accuse people for throwing feces on you at Tom's behest, let me tell you where I am coming from.... You jumped down a Moderator's throat (Matt) for referencing anal lube in your intro thread....it was a joke....something that happens a helluva lot around here. Anyway, you managed to get on his bad side which I have only seen a handful of people do on here. A lot of people who have been around a while and know how Matt moderates the board saw you do that and soured on you pretty quick. I, for one, did. Then the whole Canada/America thing came up. I don't know about your military experience, but good nature ball busting is expected (if not required) when foreign units get together.... same with international police organizations...it is called bonding and how alpha males (as you call them) relate to one another. You really resisted that from the start here. There are some people who were run off from this board for being posers, liars, belligerently mentally ill, and just general a-holes. I am sure they congregate and commiserate about this forum.
  13. I think I would feel safer in the bottom one. I bet I can fit a bigger woman in it regardless.
  14. Just poured me another Makers Mark on that one. That boy good!!!! It is a metric $hit ton better than the original.
  15. I started to get that same tattoo on my wiener. But the artist kept talking about micro print and derringers.

  17. Im gonna get killed for that one ^^^^^^^^
  18. You know it....and although their RR guns are Junior Varsity to say the least, they do point out that only countries with commies and despots are using the AR-10 in the 21st Century. :hornet:
  19. <laughs> I have wanted to jack this thread for a while now.....
  20. It was all I could do not to include the "T" word in there.....but I refuse to play into DNP's hands any more.
  21. Let's not get carried away...... >:D
