  1. Got a Cold Steel Outdoorsman I got 30 years ago. Have field dressed 25+ deer with it. Sharpen it once every 5 years if that.
  2. Gotta weed this crap out painful though it is. Getting rid of it makes us better in the end.
  3. New guy next to the Beast. Little recoil, wild muzzle blast. Decently accurate, nice sights for old eyes. Will be a permanent arguement with my son who gets to shoot it.

  11. I hold nurses in high regard, they don't get enough credit for what they do. Glad she can make her husband happy with a nice present. Glad the money is going to a good cause. Count me in for next year.
  12. Everybody got their fingers crossed?
  13. Thanks Plane, I will look for those.
  14. There has been speculation in the past that a shorter "bull" barrel could be conceivably more accurate than a longer standard barrel becuse of the harmonics issue. Less flex, etc.. Once you get out to long distances, the longer barrel might have the advantage in keeping the projectile transonic longer and thus more accurate. I haven't seen definitive data, but it is interesting.
  15. Nice bucks , nice shooting, and nice hardware.
  16. Form follows function not vice versa. Would have to prove as reliable as standard lowers otherwise forget it.
  17. Excellent points. Interesting, I was in a room with the governor of our state last week, and it took me five seconds to locate where his bodyguard had his firearm. Did not look like a person to mess with, by the way. Our previous governor had a very athletic female body guard. Also did not look like someone to mess with, but much more pleasant.
  18. Nice! Always liked Armalites in that color.
  19. I hardly ever win anything, but I know my money is going to a damn good cause. i
  20. I have the Burris PEPR non quick detach mount on my AR10T carbine and it works fine.
  21. Nice thing about the FNX 45 is you can carry it decocked like a Sig Sauer, or Cocked and locked like a 1911, or if a person is really a nervous nellie, which you aren't, you can do both. Hammer down AND safety on. Good luck with your choice, a lot of quality reliable firearms out there.
  22. Good idea. Rule of thumb, if you have to shoot someone in self defense, have at least $20,000 set aside for legal bills.
  23. NEWS FLASH:Pfizer & Pepsi to MergeThis will no doubt put Coca Cola out of business in the near future…!The Pfizer Corporation announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form and this new product will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of cocktails, highballs and just a good old-fashioned stiff drink. Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: MOUNT & DO.Thought for the day...There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2025, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs, huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.
