Brought this old thread back for the simple fact I am " rediscovering " revolvers. To be honest I like their feel better, and I shoot them better as well. Plus, this sounds strange, but the big S and W N frames, the Dan Wessons, and the Pythons are works of art. A big stainless S and W 629 is just an awesome looking firearm. With the 357 or 44 Mag I can reach out to 50 yards with no problem. Wouldn't think of that with a 45 acp auto unless it was accurized, and even then I for one would not be consistent with it. Can't say about the 10 mm, as no experience with it, but I am guessing it would be better.

And somehow they all held 12 cartridges.

Had a really busy week. Sold a house, sold a truck, bought a new one, moved a bunch of stuff, and got involved in some natural resource politics in this state. Also working overtime on a fall fishing tournament I am running. Won't be on much for a while. Check in when I have time.

Lets wait and see. It may come out or may not. Putin is definitely working overtime in Trumps favor, and there has to been a reason, because Putin is a calculating manipulative SOB, and always has a hidden agenda. He outsmarted Obama, and I see him doing it again no matter who wins the election. Clinton is a power hungry crook, but Trump would sell his soul to the devil. Russia is preparing for a shooting war, has been for 16 years while we were distracted in Afghanistan and Iraq. Clinton is on the dark side, but she recognizes a kindred power hungry mercenary soul(Putin) when she sees one. and knows she can't trust him. Trump is either compromised, or too egotistically stupid to see what Putin is doing. Either way we are screwed. With Trump we may keep our firearms a little longer, and lose Eastern Europe. With Clinton we may keep Eastern Europe for a while, but lose our firearms. Either way, I see us going through a bad time the next ten years. Serious questions if we will be the top dog or even the second dog ten years from now. I am thinking it may be time to go seriously prepper. Putin and Trump remind me of Stalin and Hitler. Good friends until the bullets start to fly. Hillary is a female version of either one. Sorry guys, I have never in my life been so pessimistic about our choices in an election. And I hope to hell I am flat wrong and have to admit it down the line.

Wish I was that optimistic. With the increasing likelihood that Trump has financial interests in Putin's Russia, I am thinking we are screwed no matter who gets in.

Some rumors coming out that the coup was staged by Erdogan to give an excuse for a purge. Would not surprise me he is a Machiavellian SOB. When you get film clips of tanks surrendering to police with handguns, things smell fishy in Istanbul and it ain't the seafood.

That right there is a great reason to hold my breath.

In 1977 strapping on Skis and skiing 56 miles over three days through wilderness by myself without telling anyone I was doing it. and getting caught in a snowstorm. I made it out, but I learned a lesson.

Sea Lampreys are a jawless fish whose predecessors predate the dinosaurs. Might be distant relatives.

I know some of the people involved in that situation, if they can't do anything to the perpetrator, as there was no tribal law on the books, I am confident they will make sure it will be a crime next time. We don't talk much about that herd. The hope is people just leave them alone.

If BLM meant what they said they would work to stop the half of all US murders instigated by a 13% minority in this country. And most of those against themselves. For a reduction of violence against minorities, nothing else could come close to what could be done if that happened. If they did that, I would start listning more to what they say. For every LEO shooting in the line of duty, a hundred happen among themselves. But those aren't important, I guess.

Back in 1977 a lot of us did things that weren't well thought out. Glad you made it brother.

Never had much luck. I can catch fish but I suck at keeping them alive, until I threw some 29 cent goldfish into a small aerated pond I have outside. Did they prosper! and breed! The adults after five years were 9-10 inches and every year I would end up with 30 or so babies, even after cannibalization. We have three ponds and they all got very crowded, and I kept on buying 20 gallon tanks to keep them inside during the winter. Ended up with four tanks and the fish separated by size. Finally a family of Otters put me out of my misery and ate them all in one night. Next garage sale I put the tanks up for sale and never looked back.

I dumped my .40 Sig SP2022. It was an ok pistol. You can get them for under $500, but they are bulky, though light. I just did not see any real advantage to the caliber. I should have got a 10mm. Or a 357 Sig. Maybe an ok caliber for a cc pistol with proper ammo, in a smaller XD.
