Two in the torso is definitely the preferred method, because you will sustain damage to yourself unless you are wearing one hell of a lot of clothes. As far as Brazilian Ju Jitsu, it is excellent. Trained in it for a time in my younger days. A bunch of us cross trained in a lot of different specialties before it became known as mixed martial arts. I mentioned the Sanchin stance, because that is one that can withstand the impact of a large animal, or man, and still leave you the ability to respond or retaliate. Now that age has slowed me down, that martial art known as .45 JHP definitely is the preferred method of self defence. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanchin

It makes some sense as far as the stance. In Uechi Ryu Karate, the Sanchin stance is everything as far as defence. A good stance if practiced gives you incredible strength and leverage. Unless it is a trained attack dog, or defending its owner, most dogs will lose interest if you face them down. IIf it attacks and you have no weapon, think aggressive. A dogs mouth has its best leverage at the front to middle of its jaw. If your definitely gonna get bit, step into it and jam your forearm all the way to the back of the dogs mouth, using your other hand to grab the back of his head pull it towards you. With the forearm at the back of his jaw bone he cannot get leverage to really bite down, and you may even be able to dislocate his jaw if you can apply enough force. Sweep his legs and fall on top of him. This puts you in the dominant position in canine language, on top, and immobilizing his main weapon, his teeth. Most dogs at this point will urinate and submit. If not, consider keeping his head forced between your forearm and the ground and grabbing his windpipe with your free hand and cutting off his air supply until he is dead or unconcious. If you have a bar, a nightstick, or a club, think the same, only jam that in his mouth instead of the forearm. The sooner you immobilize its mouth the safer your gonna be. With a dog that aggressive, you will most likely sustain some damage, but probably more if you try to run.

This is probably the last thing a few ISIS fighters will ever see. This B-1 was photographed over the besieged Syrian Kurd town of Kobani yesterday.

Bridgewater for the Vikes looks tough.

Everyone pretty well covered it. Just want to put another plug in for Armalite. Hard to build from scratch and stay anywhere near their price and the quality you get for it. It can be done, it just isn't easy. Also agree on the barrel and trigger. Don't go on the cheap with that. Might suggest the Geissele GS2. It isn't a bank breaker, but it is very high quality but not the best they make. The Armalite National Match trigger is very good as well.

I thought for sure that opener would bring out a couple of good lines about generating heat in the bedroom.

Read this, had to share: a good chuckle. I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track downterrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got thewhole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to takeus old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're atleast 35. For starters, researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a month, leaving usmore than 280,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy. Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a crankysoldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired andhungry.' We are bad-tempered and impatient, and maybe letting us kill someasshole that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us upfor a while.. An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10am. Old guysalways get up early to pee, so what the hell. Besides, like I said, I'm tiredand can't sleep and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanaticalson-of-a-bitch. If captured we couldn't spill the beansbecause we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial numberwould be a real brainteaser. Boot camp would be easier for old guys.. We're used to gettingscreamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed anappreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get outof the house, away from the screaming and yelling. They could lighten up on the obstacle course however... I've beenin combat and never saw a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training. Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too...I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet. An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's stilllearning to shave, to start a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn'tfigured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back ofhis head. These are all great reasons to keep our kidsat home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm'sway. Let us old guys track down those terrorists. The last thing anenemy would want to see is a couple millionpissed off old farts with bad attitudes and automatic weapons, who know thattheir best years are already behind them. HEY!! How about recruiting Women over 50...in menopause!!! You thinkMEN have attitudes?? Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my God!!! If nothing else, put them on border patrol. They'll have it secured the first night! Send this to all of your senior friends...it's in big type so theycan read it.

Ok, gotta ask, how much heat can your bedroom take? ( I know I'm gonna regret this.)
-
Thanks man will look for that.
-
Just happy you solved the problem, now go put 6 boxes of ammo through that sucker and enjoy the H__l out of it!

A LGS advised me a while back to buy CCI or Winchester primers, said they had had a number of problems reported recently with Remington primers. Apparently these were experienced reloaders having the problems as well.

Watch our for these guys...

That 338 LaPua model is kind of blurry because I keep drooling on the screen. -
Just cook it well, Wisconsin bears have a substantial level of Trichinosis.

One thing I like ablut Resolute, is they guarantee an hour at 1600 F. That is the best I have seen. Also it is completely waterproof. A 36 gun safe $999 at Mills Fleet Farm.
-
So far the resolute fireproof and waterproof safes look like the best deal. If electronics fail, can be opened with a key.
-
I am in the market for a new fire resistant gun safe. Any opinions?

Shooter error would be first thought, second, have you checked your head space? And as mentioned above, 168 grain should be right there for a 1 in 11 twist barrel. Assume your COL are around 2.80 with factory ammo. Also, take a shot, discard and then see what the following five shots group at. See if there is any improvement.
-
Robo thanks that is good info.

Oly is one of the few that manufactures its own uppers and lowers I believe. According to the Gun Digest book of the AR15.
-
I would like to see that myself. See if it is worth $10 more a box over SMK's.
-
155 grain Berger Hybrids? That is all my LGS guy uses for Palma cup matches.
-
Worst show on TV except for the part where they blew stuff up. Lost his FFL a while back as well. Was running Red Jacket on Vince's FFL supposedly.

We'll get back to it eventually, till then some interesting posts.
