  1. So no, it wasn't the proper buffer spring. That's interesting since the link you provided shows it comes as a set. As 98 Z stated, "coil bind". Replacing the spring as you did should take care of it.
  2. Did you try another P-mag to ensure that it by some chance was a bad one? If you are running a DPMS carbine length tube are you you running a carbine length 308 buffer and spring? If all the answers to this is yes, than its the CMMG Bolt catch. Easy and cheap fix.
  3. Then you get drinks bought for you.
  4. Same here but mainly Oakley
  5. OK, we will put in exceptions to man law for those with whom cant and by moral or religious code can't or wont. ^-^
  6. I just found something to put in my duty bag <thumbsup>
  7. Okay Man Law, you can not read a book about Special Forces regardless of branch unless you either smoke a cigar, pipe tobacco, or for the non smokers sip whiskey or bourbon whilst reading said book. As respect to the warrior(s).
  8. Noveske will sell blemished uppers and lowers and are worth it.
  9. Looks like a Long Hunter in my future thanks Magwa.
  10. Airport cops aren't cops lol just overpaid armed security with arrest powers and ticket pushers lol. My retirement job in Vegas lol
  11. Me either, I just never could get comfortable behind one like an AR platform that's why I sold my build and just stayed with the semi auto. Bolt guns have their place just not my thing. I always got into debates with the team commander on bolt vs semi for our precision rifle / over watch as we were no further than 200 yds . After loosing the debates he finally said snipers use bolt guns and bolt guns are for snipers period now leave me alone lol. I'd take an SR-25 or AR-10 over a bolt gun on an op any day of the week. If its to heavy, 1 grow stronger, or 2 split the upper and lower and have a teammate carry 1/2 lol.
  12. Just let me know pls
  13. Now that's a man with a plan, outstanding .
  14. That will get the precision shooters in an uproar lol. It reminds me a lot of the JAE chassis system.
  15. I want a good Tomahawk, Magwa help a Cherokee out brother lol
  16. I might be up in Montpelier / Northfield later this year for sure in June of next year.
  17. Welcome from Hamilton Ohio
  18. There is a reason the military & law enforcement has used the 700 for as long as they have and still do. Just sayin
  19. Special place in Hell for people who do bad things to little kids.
  20. I have been down this road. Ok the 700 has more stock options and aftermarket parts. The Savage has a great trigger but the spacing on the bottom metal has changed through out the years making aftermarket stocks more difficult to come by. As far as the Accuracy International Chassis System they are great. Mile High Shooters Supply has them in stock at good prices and a company named Victor Company USA makes aftermarket skins. Pretty much any aluminum system is a chassis while your McMillian, B&C, fiberglass deals are stocks. Both can take single stack mags but you have to have the bottom metal on the stock say Badger Ordinance and it gets pricey. Another thing to consider is having to bed and free float on a fiberglass stock as a chassis you tork it down and forget about it and they are free floated. Finally adjustable length of pull if need be. Depending on the stock it gets expensive and weighty. For the record I was a proud owner of a Rem 700 LTR in a AICS Chassis with a NF scope, badger ordinance bolt lift and timney trigger sold to a friend. Once you go chassis you wont want anything elsee
  21. Let me see if I can explain it, basically your putting pressure on the bi-pod by using the rubber feet against the surface and pushing forward on it. Get the rifle ready to shoot safety on. With your hand on the pistol grip dip the muzzle down at the ground and pull the but pad into your shoulder then level the rifle out and push gently forward. Let the bi-pod feet catch on the surface. Bi-Pod hop is another term for the jumping issue you are having. Its easier to show than describe if you You Tube How To Load Your Bi-Pod a Snipers Hide Video should pop up it will show / explain it.
  22. Mythbusters did a show on it about shooting into the air. Velocity and energy work both ways as does wind current. Sorry to hear about the that mans passing.
  23. Zebra644

    Lol'd

Looks like he had too much stuff in is hands, dividing his attention, trying to balance the food and possibly sympathetic trigger squeeze? Either way not the smartest thing to do.
  24. Find some Ultra Max 168 its not that accurate but its cheaper than FGMM and is decent. Oil and Shoot. Keep a log of round count / bullet weight so if you have to call them you can give specifics.
  25. When a rifle jumps off target like that, its usually an issue with your form and how your set up behind the rifle. Try "loading" your bi-pod instead of using a sand bag rest. Your grouping is good which tells me you have trigger control and breathing down. Also try prone if you are allowed. In doing so, it gives you a more weight on and behind the rifle when driving the rifle.
