A lot of Canadians come to the US for medical treatment. Waiting times in Canada are nearly as bad as the US Veterans Administration.

I can and will do that thing.

Yeah, you may really want to do a "rack of rectums" with the bones still in LOL

Gotta wonder how many people in Canada relocate to the US to gain more human rights. Fortunately, there's a link for that, and 'getting more human rights' is not on the list. Canada doesn't even have real freedom of speech. And apparently that's not a big deal up there. If anything, this shows that a population of a significant 'Western' country can be deprived of civil rights, without any sense of complaint from its citizens. This is dang effin' scary. We should be grateful to the NRA, even if they wobble a bit on their axis.

Gunner54, you might want to consider making part of your project. It's SHTF-compatible. No batteries are involved. It gathers available light to produce its 'sight dot' and it has a tritium-powered backup dot for low/no light. In a SHTF world, batteries will be worth a lot but only briefly, until their 'shelf life' expires.

Hm. Boneless pork rectums. Does that mean you can get 'em cheaper with the rectum bones still in them?

Can the review be one you found online, say, in a different forum, or a buyer's comment from a retailer site?

I would have found this buttstock very tempting if I hadn't gotten a Slash Heavy Buffer for my 308AR. It's really that good.

This is the first vehicle I've ever had with this feature. Guess I've been living a sheltered life, back here in the woods.

I would think that such a spectacular announcement of a new product would be placed in the "for sale" section, and be placed by the manufacturer or vendor.

Okay, so there I am, in town, running an errand that will take me into Wal-Mart. And after that, I have to pick up one of the grandkids at summer school. Which is a no-go place for firearms. Well, it turns out that there is an 'exception' to the 'gun-free zone' that surrounds schools around here, and that exception is only available to people with a carry permit. Which I have. The exception: the gun (pistol) must not be conveniently available to people in the vehicle. It turns out, the 2004 Ford Expedition (Eddie Bauer edition) seems to have completely foreseen that situation. All the way, in the back of the vehicle, out of reach of everyone, is a special removable panel, and behind that is a space. A space too small for a spare tire or jack, but large enough to hold some good firepower. Now in a lot of states, it's a crime to have a hidden compartment in a vehicle. Well, this compartment in the Ford was designed in and produced at the factory. Here's what the "not accessible" compartment looks like, at the back of the vehicle. Click on the thumbnail for a decent picture: Of course, I added the big arrow. The coolness in this is multiple: I could ( 1 ) shop while carrying, and then ( 2 ) "transport" my sidearm legally ( a ) in school grounds ( b ) without using a "secret" compartment ( c ) because Ford provided a compartment. This is coolness and bright engineering.

I'm still learning, but I have to ask: does Ruger have a different pattern than DPMS? -

Wal-Mart definitely has a problem with 'thief-proofing' its gun department in Memphis. Looks like they're short by ten guns. Rand Paul introduces an amendment to prevent the DOJ from using Operation Choke Point to punish gun dealers - America's Watch Tower - June 20, 2014 http://americaswatchtower.com/2014/06/20/rand-paul-introduces-an-amendment-to-prevent-the-doj-from-using-operation-choke-point-to-punish-gun-dealers/ [excerpt] Operation Choke Point is an initiative started by the Department on Injustice back in 2013 with the stated goal of protecting consumers from fraud by scrutinizing banks which deal heavily with “high risk” businesses. Of course the Federal government is tasked with identifying these “high risk” businesses so when the Congress failed to pass Barack Obama’s gun control legislation the regime decided to add gun manufacturers and dealers to the list of “high risk” businesses in an apparent attempt to choke off the sale of guns.

Is the 'open carry' movement going too far?

racializing Race-Baiting Open Carry Advocates to March through 5th Ward in Houston Juneteenth Weekend - Burnt Orange Report - June 19, 2014 http://www.burntorangereport.com/diary/15344/racebaiting-open-carry-advocates-to-march-through-5th-ward-in-houston [excerpt] In what they say is an effort to "show that gun rights belong to all" members of the open carry movement will walk through the 5th Ward on Sunday -- a day after many Texans will be celebrating Juneteenth, in a predominantly African American area of Houston settled by former slaves just after the Civil War. -
That's a fine-looking pistol. Nice grips, too. Will this be a CCW piece? Looks like it would conceal excellently.

That's some fine shooting.

Interesting 80% (?) naked lower above the buttstock in that pic. Is there a story there?

DPMS GII Recon review

I'm still looking for info on whether a Slash heavy buffer will work on the Gen II -
Shepp, I keep saying we'll have a squirrel feed out on this place, and everyone says they'd like to eat them critters (except my wife), but nobody who would eat 'em knows of a recipe or anyone who has a recipe. Do you have a squirrel recipe?

Loaded DPMS question...
gnatshooter replied to D.R.D.'s topic in DPMS Panther Arms LR-308 | Bushmaster 308
Better wait for word from the experts on that one. All I can offer is extra length on a barrel. -

If you are willing to pin something in exchange for a shorter barrel, you might want to consider
