  1. SI-D's is brand new so you probably won't find much on it. A couple of us here have PWS MK2's (mine's a Mod1). What kind of things are you interested in about it?
  2. I've shot that ammo through my PWS MK216 and MWS, no pierced primers here either.
  3. Finally bit the bullet and signed up for Brownell's EDGE program. Then proceeded to order the Geissele Super Tricon and G2S-E... Yay for free returns if I don't like either of them lol.
  4. Does this occur if there's only one or two rounds in the mag? What kind of extractor setup do you have? Can you open the extractor by hand (should be able to, but it shouldn't be super easy).
  5. Length doesn't really matter with the shockwave because you can install it at any position on the pistol receiver extension. It has a screw on the bottom that pushes on the pistol receiver extension similar to how a low profile gas block's set screws work.
  6. It's definitely easier to use as a brace than the SB15. I can't figure out how you're supposed to put an arm strap around it though without it being really weird...
  7. Ballistic Advantage makes AP's .308 barrels (AP just bought a majority stake in them). BA barrels are known to be solid and accurate barrels (I've heard they make the some of the most accurate 5.45 barrels). I have one of their 5.56 barrels in my AR pistol, but I haven't shot it with match ammo for groups.
  8. 39 coils? What kind of spring did you get??? Even an AR-10 spring only has 35 (with ~5/16" spacing between coils). Are you sure the buffer is bottoming out in the receiver extension now?
  9. Hey now, I thought I had dibs! lol
  10. If you already have a 16" for when you might have to carry one, might as well get a 20" for the bench.
  11. Bummer. Still, in the latest photo it seems like the set screws aren't aligning the tube straight (look at the larger gap at the bottom from the big screw compared to the top lol). An LR-308 carbine action spring has 29 coils.
  12. After checking my stuff at home I think you need to snug your EBT up more. In this pic you can see too much gap between the end plate and the EBT. Back off the top two set screws and large lower screw on the EBT, install it as far into the lower receiver as you can (while still allowing the buffer detent to come up into the channel) and then tighten the screws down (lower screw first, upper ones second). My EBT sits very flush against the end plate.
  13. Excuse to transition to HK416s?
  14. Can you screw the receiver extension in another rotation or two? Pic2 makes it seem like you can, and it looks like you've got the EBT backed off A LOT with its set screws. How long did the internal depth of the receiver extension end up being?
  15. I've read that too, and while I've seen wear marks (mostly grease transfer from where it locks onto the rail) I've never had an issue with my LaRue mounts (LT104, LT120, LT660, LT139, LT123). I move my stuff around pretty often too...
  16. The only gripes I have with the G2 recon are that it comes with a commercial receiver extension, the buffer is a bit light, and the castle nut isn't torqued to spec (40ft-lbs, and there seems to be some vibra-tite on the threads). I'm still contemplating getting one though...
  17. The lip of the EBT extends further than a standard receiver extension because it was designed to support the rear of the carrier while in battery. I'm pretty sure that's where the extra .25" comes from. hevyjunk01, when you do measure the internal depth, measure to the edge of the buffer detent cutout, not to the end of the lips.
  18. I'm confused, how is the EBT adding to his issues? He's using the appropriate length spring and buffer with it.
  19. Are you sure you have the AR-15 EBT and not the .308 EBT? If you pop off the upper from the lower and take the action spring out and then insert the buffer and BCG into the receiver extension fully can you see what's making contact? From the info you've given us about the configuration, wash is right that you should be using the short LR308 carbine buffer and LR308 carbine action spring. Do you have a picture of the malfunction? I can't tell if it's a failure to extract, failure to eject, or double feed from your description. Are the scratches from the magazine feed lips as the round is pushed out of the mag? Make sure the BCG is lubed up well for the break-in period. Also, what barrel and gas tube did you use (this can also be caused by people using AR-15/LR-308 gas tubes on barrels with AR-10 pattern gas port locations)?
  20. Wow, didn't realize this was happening so quickly! Hope car registration and insurance renewal didn't drain my fun fund for the month!
