I use an aluminum vee-block in the vise to hold the barrel. Instead of crush washers, I made a bunch of aluminum timing washers (various thicknesses) and torque the muzzle device down. It doesn't budge and a PITA to remove. :D

I'm pretty sure the upper/lower receivers are longer on the G2 to accommodate the longer .308 rounds. How much longer? I don't know, but it could be a different length that the current/older .308 patterns out there.

I think Leland Yee has something to do with it.
