  1. Stop wetting yourself and open that box already!! P.S. Which Thumler's you got? The tumbler or the vibratory one?
  2. :wwop:
  3. Ah yes... the swift wheels of internet justice are turning.
  4. Actually, we put a ring of det cord on the top and bottom of the barrel to "cut" the tops and bottom off just before everything goes boom.

Hmmm... how 'bout we start compiling our loads into a database/spreadsheet or something.

Here you go. Fingers too dirty with Doritos dust to type it all out. Additional Notes: - 5.56/300 blk brass seem to catch the mixed SS shot in the primer hole. Gotta poke them out with a decapping pin or one of those Lee case length gauges. - Speed to obtain shine is proportional to amount of lemmi shine used. I put in about 1 tsp. More if you don't want to wait. Too much and it stings my skin - 5.56 brass can fill up with the mixed shot and they get stuck. To remove with minimal hassle, use an impact-type bullet puller.
  8. That's the "daddy's private stash" in the bedroom/live-in gun vault/toy impound. BTW, thanks for reminding me that I did not have dinner or anything to eat all night. Now I gotta hit the stash.
  9. Picked up some IMR 4320 last week, and just today picked up some RE-15 and IMR 8208 XBR to see how they perform. I'm starting to get a small stockpile of powders going.... LOL
  10. I picked that up because of the price and the unique look. The UBR (FDE) is on the way too. Just realized I'm an idiot and wasted money on the Troy PGRSA because I don't think it fits with the UBR. Anyway, it fits well, but a hair loose (not as loose as a standard carbine stock). Perhaps I'm being too picky for $49.99. Like how the rifle feels more compact, and how it could double up as a walking stick if I hold it with the "L" end of the rifle in my hand. Going to strip the anodizing on the upper/lower tomorrow before either painting it or cerakoting it (stupid friend is lagging on the cerakote oven)
  11. You know that plumbers lye strips anodizing in an instant, right?
  12. <thumbsup> <thumbsup> <thumbsup> <thumbsup> Nice ass kicking!
  13. ....Taking some black out of the 300 Blackout.
  14. Roughly measure the curve radius above the grip. If it is around 3/4" then it will take a standard Type-1 and a small step before the receiver endplate (see pic below). If it is a lot greater than 3/4", you'll most likely need the Type 2. "Type-1" on a 308. Standard AR15 MOE on a "Type-1" 308 receiver.
  15. The 308 chamber is slightly "shorter" than the 7.62x51 chamber. A 7.62 round may not fully chamber in the .308 barrel as a result if the chamber is on the tight side.
  16. LOL! Screw the trees. Det cord + TNT + creative use of 50-gal barrel of flammable stuff = EPIC FOUGASSE! I could give you the details but that'll just get me on the terror watchlist. <laughs> .... then again it's on Wikipedia for our kids!
  17. It's not like I go hunting. Well if it works out, I may sign up for 3-gun and embarass myself. <laughs>
  18. [off topic] Most people in that part of asia are not very PC when it come to different cultures. It's been that way and they learn to live with it and] everyone gets along...mostly.... Philippines ... that the home of the asian beaner. Lots of spanish influence in that country and they can easily pass off as Mexican. <lmao> The entire Southeast Asian region has a lot of Muslims. Indonesia has the largest population of Muslims in the world. Good percentage in Philippines, about 80% in Malaysia, etc. Singapore is the only non-Muslim country in that region (25% Muslim). Lots of extremist ideologies going around in that region. Lots of Muslim vs Chinese, Muslim vs Indian, clashes in the 50's and 60's. That continues in pseudo Commie-Muslim-Leftist forces in Philippines, Indonesia, and East Malaysia that spans the grey area between religious fanatics and terrorists. That's why the Singapore military borrows a lot of doctrine from the Israelis (i.e. surrounded by Muslim countries). All able-bodied men in Singapore have to serve in the military for 30 months when they hit 18... I was among some who were lucky (or unlucky) enough to be trained by the IDF. There were ZERO Muslims in the frontline units in Singapore, they only serve in the only the rear-guard infantry units. Rest of your adult life, you're on reserve until you hit 45. You have to go back annually for 7-40 day refreshers pass physical fitness tests etc. [ok enough for the off topic backgrounder] So now they say they found plane bits near Australia? This is getting ridiculous.
  19. That's a rough and nasty area full of MILF's (yes, really MILF**), especially for you whiteys. It's like walking around with a sign above your head that reads "COME KIDNAP THIS WHITEY" ** Moro Islamic Liberation Front
  20. Looks decent but I'm seeing too many manufacturing shortcuts like the way the ejection ports are machined and also the panel on the magwell. The magwell for example removes the need of a separate broaching operation (or specialized machining processes) since the magwell corners can be easily machined with that wall out of the way. That is then exploited for multi-mag compatibility using adaptor plates. Again, I'm not saying that it's inferior, but a smarter way to make the uppers/lowers. How it will stand the test of time will be dependent on a ton of other factors.
  21. I've poked around on reviews and it looks like fit/finish isn't on par with say... Rem 870. So what do you guys think since you've either had them or still have them.
  22. Hmmmm... didn't what'shisname's DPMS 2-stage trigger #1 and #2 break in the same spot? Wondering if they all came from the same OEM supplier. ....here it is:
  23. ....realtree camo. $300? Someone offering me a trade plus cash on my beater AR15 (yeah, the beaters get no love).
  24. Well, since we're there I could set up more fun stuff I learned in demo school.... (anyone got some det cord and TNT lying around? I've got them 50-gal steel barrels to complete the setup. That's the fun stuff right there. lol)
  25. Welcome to the club. I called OBL for 9/11 in under 5 seconds when my wife woke me up that fateful morning yelling at me that the WTC had been attacked.... and her response was "who's that?" *sigh* there needs to be more education out there about poop like this.
